Nancy Janes Stacking Planters P1361 Stone Color Planter, 12"

I bought this to plant my outdoor herbs in this summer and I love the three tiers! Looks beautiful on my porch! Assembled in less than 5 minutes and holds more than you think!

I love this planter! I was sooo close to giving this item 5 stars, but I do have one tiny complaint. These styles of vertical stacking pots are usually designed so you water the top one, and let it soak through the bottom layers as it drains. It does in fact do this, but not very well, I recommend just watering all the sections individually (which is by no means a big deal or hassle).I planted from a mixed seed bag that contains red/green kale, arugula, red/green lettuce, and swiss chard. Now for the awesome part, I checked today and the seeds I planted only two days ago, that's right 48 HOURS, are now healthy little sprouts in 4 of the 9 spots that I planted in.I can't wait till the whole thing looks like a gigantic fancy salad :)

I bought two. One for me, one for my grand kids. For the kids I only used two trays. I put both on 12-inch rod iron stands to get them off the ground. So far I’m very happy with them. I planted strawberry plants in all. The plants at my home as well as my grand kids’ home. They are doing fine.

I ordered this in stone and as you can see I got it in black I preferred the stone color which is why I paid more for this one than another listing to get stone. But it did have a good quality of holes and drainage in the bottom of the pot so I decided to keep it. It was easy to put together. I do wish it was a little deeper as you can see the roots on my strawberry plants stretched a little deeper than the pots but hopefully with more room to spread out they will be ok. Would have been a 5 star review if I got the color I ordered.

I like my planter. My orchids don't really like it, but that could be because I didn't use orchid bark. So I'm changing to bark to see haw they do. The eyelash begonia really loves this planter. The three pocket size is good. I'm going to buy another one and see if I can set it up hydroponically.

Bought this and the Houston International strawberry planter. I love this one over the Houston one because it is super easy to water, assemble/disassemble, and add dirt (Houston one doesn't have any sort of cup around the openings to catch dirt as you move it/fill it). It seems to hold plenty of soil and I've planted nine bare root plants (one in each jut).So far all of the nine are doing well - barely any of them had leaves when I planted the roots, but they are now almost as large as the ones in my Houston planter (planted a week later). I do agree with another reviewer though - I have to water the plants in this Nancy Janes planter excessively (3x as much as I water the other planter).Also, the planter I received looks more tan than the 'stone' one pictured. But I still love it and will likely get one or two more if I get more strawberry plants.

I needed a planter for the corner kitchen window where I grow herbs. I will put it on the patio for the summer but hoped to have fresh herbs all year. What I used to have was very small and it became cracked. This is big enough to hopefully sustain the plants but it does fit where I needed it to. I added a tall table lamp with a grow light to aid the weak winter sun and short days.
