Great B-Sides and Cover Album
It's not like Rise Against can make crappy music. They are constantly churning out face-melting and brain-stirring tunes. Some of their lyrics leave you scratching your head in wondering what they could have been referring to and some of them light a fire under your lazy butt. This is a B-sides album. Do not expect another "Sufferer and The Witness" from this new album, you won't get it. Instead, think of this as getting a glimpse into the mind of Tim McIlrath. These are songs that he wrote and intended to use on previous albums, but just didn't do it. Some of these songs are slow, some are pure rock. they do a few covers on this album as well. A couple that really stuck out to me was "The Ballad of Hollis Brown" it was originally by Bob Dylan. I've hard that Dylan is one of McIlrath's big inspirations. The Rise Against version of this song is great, very melodic and beautiful. It is heavy, but in a melodic sort of way. Another cover is "The Ghost of Tom Joad" which was originally by Bruce Springsteen. This version is a live version, it features Wayne Kramer from MC5, Brian Fallon from The Gaslight Anthem TOM MORELLO, who is obviously from Rage Against the Machine. This song ends the album, it is a great end to a great ride in my opinion. If nothing else, this album WILL tide you over until they get around to making a completely new and original album. I have listened to this album two times through so far and I plan to download it and put it on my iPod to listen to in my car. And for real, it's only $6.99 for a digital version of it, you can't afford not to buy it.

The Redemption Album - A Lot of Their Best Music in One Album
I hate to admit this, but my interest in Rise Against had been waning for a bit after the releases of Appeal to Reason and Endgame. Both were great albums, but not their best work. The old Rise Against is mostly gone and while this cannot be seen as a surprise (or necessarily a bad thing), it's just a little disappointing to think about. That's the thing about this album - it's NOT new music, but it's really their best (in my opinion) mix of older and newer styles. The one negative thing about this album: it's really just a compilation...But that's ok! There's a ton of songs on here (honestly, most of my favorite ones) that are mostly not available on other albums - some because they simply didn't flow with the other albums. If you're a big Rise fan, you would have heard all this music before... but you may not necessarily have legally owned it (and you'd be entirely justified in that - see below). This is why I see this as Rise Against's redemption album.I was really disappointed in them for releasing a ton of their music as various exclusives - whether iTunes exclusives, international bonus songs, Guitar Hero exclusives, vinyl exclusives, etc. - in recent years. Owning physical copies of all other RA albums (except AtR still...), I'd have been perfectly willing to pay for this music, but it was simply unavailable to me and the masses. Major problem in my book. This album: ALL that music previously held back. It's incredible. I gained a lot more respect for Rise Against with this album. It blows Appeal to Reason and Endgame out of the water and even gives their earlier albums competition. It is certainly my favorite album of theirs.

Songs you don't have in one convienient location.
I have all of Rise Against's main album releases, but I don't bother with buying individual songs that were released on sound tracks or collaborations and so forth. Which makes this B-Sides album perfect for people like me. Unfortunately there are a few songs here that were "bonus" tacks or promotional incentives for I-tunes or whatever,(Join The Ranks, Gethsemane, Give it All, Elective Amnesia, But Tonight We Dance are songs that were all on the various albums that I bought), so I imagine that some or all of those songs will be redundant for many people. That aside however there are still about 20 or so songs on this album that I did not have, also in the booklet attached to the physical case is a description of each song and the story behind it, so as a fan of Rise Against this album was definitely worth the purchase for me. There are no lyrics printed out though. I am eagerly awaiting their next official album.

Nice mix for any rise against fan
This was the first record I had ever purchased. I love the way it sounds. The cover of Sliver originally by Nirvana is great. I like the sound of the lead singers voice. I have been a big fan of Rise Against for quite some time. This album is a good collection of original material, covers, and live songs. The only negative thing I have to say is the digital download expired two weeks before I got the album. This was no fault of Amazons but rather an issue with other company supplying the digital download.

Its Rise Against!
Pretty much everything Rise Against does addresses the idea that notall of us are oblivious. With the exception of maybe Making Christmas ( it didn't vibe with me)its an amazing album. If you're on the fence telling yourself "I already have all their albums", trust me, you'll stillwant this one. There is enough content that you'll be looking forward to it playing on yourRise Against - Play All playlist.

Gift for my Daughter
Let's just say I have the worlds biggest Rise Against fan as my daughter. She actually got to meet the members and she gave them a friendship bracelet that they still wear today!!! So of course we decided to get this for her birthday. She really loves their music and after listening to their first album my self I really like the message they always convey. This is definitely worth buying.

Great album even though I had a few songs on ...
Great album even though I had a few songs on it from other albums. I especially liked the cover they did of "Silver" by Nirvana.

A very good listen.
This album is a collection of B-sides and covers so don't go expecting new material. However, there is a big chance that you haven't heard all of these songs before. They're all really enjoyable to listen to, whether they're Rise Against originals or not. Rise Against put their own spin on everything they play so you're guaranteed not to be disappointed!

Some of their best work
I've been a Rise Against fan for ages and was aware of all these obscure tracks before this record was released but I'm delighted that some of RA's best work can now be appreciated the way it deserves to be.

Its better to treasure something physical for life than digital.
I normally buy my music via amazon music\iTunes etc but I couldn't resist buying this version with all the band signatures at the time of purchase. Its better to treasure something physical for life than digital.
