Northpoint Baroque Velvet Plush Blanket, Full Queen, Slate

"mom... mom.... MOMMMMM you HAVE TO FEEL THIS BLANKET!!!!!" that was my 11yr old daughters reaction when we received this in the mail and she opened the package. My little darling loves bright fun colors and thinks all my dark brown & cream is boring, why is that relevant you ask? Because as soon as she opened this and wrapped herself in it she declared that I'd have to buy myself another, because she was taking it!I came over and grabbed it to see what all the fuss was about, first I noted very happily that their black was actually a super deep dark chocolate brown (my favorite) and my daughter wasn't kidding, this is the softest blanket I've ever felt... it's plush and yet manages to feel light at the same time, it's a miracle in epic snuggling blanketness. She was so enthralled with it that I did let her have it, and promptly went online here to Amazon to order myself another (it comes tomorrow, and I'm already planning a movie night to snuggle up under it).We haven't washed it yet, normally I like to wash blankets before we use them but she refused to let me take it... it has left some brown fuzzies on her bed but nothing too awful and I'm hopeful that with a wash it won't shed (I'll wash mine when it arrives and report back). I have a feeling when my 5yr old feels one of them I'll be back buying a third.I highly recommend this blanket, either for an extra throw to snuggle with on your favorite sofa or chair, or as a lightweight yet still plush & amazing feeling blanket in bed.

It sheds. That is what divides usable plush blankets from unusable for me. Perhaps there is a way to wash and dry it where it would not shed like a Golden Retriever in Spring but if you generally wash and dry your blankets then this is not the one for you. The size is accurate and it is a blanket so I give it 3 stars but I was so glad when I finally gave up on this and bought a different blanket.The  Qbedding All Season Ultra Soft Microplush Blanket Throw, Twin, Queen, King (Dark Chocolate, King)  is a much better alternative. Super soft. The brown color is even nicer. And most importantly you don't have to have it dried by fairies with the flutter of their wings to avoid a fuzz storm like the Northpoint one.Machine wash and dry and the Qbedding comes out perfect. No more fuzz. Yay

I needed warm black blankets for my parrots cages. The pre-made cage covers are usually thin & don't provide the totally dark, draft free environment needed for parrots' rest. These blankets are absolutely gorgeous & soft. They launder beautifully. No shedding. They look very elegant on the cages. They are completely opaque & have no glare or shine.They look as if they cost a fortune but no! If black went with my bedroom decor, I would have taken these for myself & ordered more for the birds.update: Ordered the ivory based on how well the black performed. The ivory is a completely different blanket. Like other customers, I've found the ivory will not stop shedding. Fills the cool dryer lint trap several times even after several cool, delicate washing. Ivory full balls all over everything. What a mess! Nothing sane to do but throw it out.

I live in Las Vegas where I like to have a summer blanket. Most of the year I use a comforter and duvet cover. I purchased this after reading the reviews and researching many other blankets. I'm glad I chose this one. I don't believe a blanket can get any softer than this one. It fits my King size bed nicely. The first thing I did when I purchased this blanket was wash it and dry it. There was hardly any fuzz in lint trap. I did not even need to clean the lint trap before my next wash. I have had no problem with the blanket piling or leaving lint behind on the bed.This blanket is extremely light weight and the only issue I have is that it bunches up easily if you move around a lot while you sleep. You can roll around under a comforter and it will stay partially in place. Not this blanket. Even with that being said I still love this blanket and it deserves all 5 stars.

There is essentially nothing to dislike and everything to like. I was sent the wrong color - I ordered black but received the sable brown which was gorgeous, so I kept it. It looks mostly black in one light and beautifully brown in another. As for softness, lightweight, and cozy comfortable, it can't be beat. I have washed and dried it normally and have no problems with good results.

OMG this is THE best blanket I have ever owned in my 54 years on earth. My parents had one on the bed in their casita and I tore the whole bed apart just to find the name and make of the blanket. You will NOT be disappointed. So soft, so comfy, so petfectly weighted. Getting out of bed sucks even worse now, but sleeping in is HEAVEN! Get one!!!

SO SOFT! After purchasing a king size silver blanket from TJMaxx last year and loving it so much, I googled it to see where I could buy another and of course found Amazon. So, I ordered a king size one in ivory, and this "mauve" one in a twin size. Both of the blankets I received say "Ardour" rather than "Baroque" like the original blanket I bought, however I think these are even softer. One thing to note is that the mauve color is more of a silvery plum than what I consider mauve- which would have more pink. So, it is more of a purple tone than it is pinkish- fyi.

OMG This is the softest blanket we have ever had! I was looking for a lightweight blanket that looked nice on the bed that would keep us warm yet breathable so you don't sweat. This us it! Just want to keep touching it ..it is that sumptuous. Size was great for king size had more than enough on both sides. My husband like cover up like a burrito, so most of the time I end up with only half of me getting covered. This blanket has more than enough for both of us and best of all it doesnt "travel" on cotton sheets. We're going to get another one us and one for the kids.

Ho acquistato due coperte in tinta "slate" (vorrebbe dire "ardesia"), in pratica un grigio azzurro molto carino, esattamente uguale a quello che si vede in foto. Se anche gli altri colori corrispondono (non posso dirlo perché ho provato solo questo) si tratta di un bell'assortimento, rispetto alla scelta di colori di altre marche.Il lato d'uso è lucido e rimangono tutti i segni di pieghe o delle dita. La coperta è in 100% poliestere, molto morbida e non troppo pesante: adatta quindi alle mezze stagioni, esattamente quel che cercavo. Prezzo ballerino, acquistata l'ultima volta a poco più di 11 euro in formato King, quindi prezzo assolutamente concorrenziale. Verificate l'andamento nel tempo del prezzo per approfittare dei momenti in cui si trova in offerta.La misura King è circa 274 x 229 cm ed è adatta a un matrimoniale di larghezza 180 cm, va bene anche per un 160 cm se non troppo basso; la misura Full Queen è quadrata: 229 x 229 cm circa, adatta per un letto "alla francese" da 140 cm; la misura "Coppia" (Twin) sarebbe quella da letto singolo, da circa 168 x 229 cm.Lavabile in lavatrice "in acqua fredda" (credo di aver tentato il lavaggio a 30° ma non ricordo esattamente: ripeterò l'esperimento e poi eventualmente modificherò la recensione). Made in China. Non ha odori sgradevoli. Da lavare prima del primo uso, secondo il consiglio dell'etichetta: ho aggiunto Napisan liquido e ho usato un detersivo per delicati.

I needed a larger blanket than the regular sized Northpoint one that they offered so I decided to get this. As soon as I got this, I put it in the washer by itself inside a laundry bag (that broke during the wash) and then in the dryer. No shedding occurred or if there was, it was so minimal that I didn't notice any on my bed covers/clothing. It was time to wash it again but this time, I put it alongside my other bedding/pillow covers assuming no shedding would occur. This was due in a large part to the first wash as the laundry bag broke and even then, no shedding occurred. Well this time something went wrong. All my sheets and covers were covered with a layer of light blue/grey shedding and the blanket itself is shedding onto whatever it touches (tested it on the clothes I was wearing).I am giving this an average review of 3 stars as it may have been my own fault in putting it alongside other fabrics which could have agitated the stitching. I'll also plead guilty that I didn't exactly read the laundry instructions which may have indicated to wash by itself or other delicates. Or this could be a warning for those in the future to wash by itself or in a laundry bag to prevent the possibility of shedding. Besides the shedding, this blanket also seems thinner than the regular model as I do feel colder while using this.

Absolutely best blanket ever.. I loved it so much I got one for Christmas for my husband and we both love them and it is like having a very light blanket which would be wonderful for camping in spring and if you have A/C it's also wonderful..and if it's really chilly we double it up and it can be heavier

this is disconcerting. i smelled quite bad. i even washed it with some added orange oil to the softener. nope still smells like fish. i'll see if it dissipates in a few washings.. if not.. its getting returned.
