Guide Gear Leather 4-Position Holster, 1911 Models, Right Handed

I bought 2 of these. One for a 45, 1911 full size and a 380 pocket auto. Neither worked as expected using same width thick leather belt. Both Guns leaned out away from the body causing a considerable bulge in my shirt. Perhaps most disturbing is the safety snap literally pushes the safety off when holstered and snapped. It seems to work ok if you want to carry with your hammer down on a live round or safety off on an empty chamber. I would not recommend or buy this again.

Nice looking holster. The leather is well-stitched, but the 4-way mounting slots are cut too close to each end not leaving enough leather to prevent splitting or excessive stretching. For a pistol as heavy as a 1911 this just seemed to be far too unstable. I had the mental image of the leather eventually breaking and the whole rig dropping off at an inopportune moment. Returned it and got a full refund.

Because of the weight of the 1911, this holster will sag and droop. If you buy this, the 1911 will had off your back at a 45 degree angle. Absolute crap
