Don't Be Fooled By Their Other Products!!!
Although Anker's other products are beyond amazing, I can never say the same for their cables. Whereas their other products have rave reviews on their quality, the reviews for the cables usually are about Anker's customer service and how they helped fix their initial issues. The negative reviews are more about the cables themselves and talk about how they barely work after only a few months. Here is why...The cord itself is super durable and of great quality, but the two connector hooks that keep the cable connected to your device always go bad after a short time. This makes the cables unable to stay connected to the device. Sadly, I'm always a sucker for buying these and keep trying to give them another chance. I forget how badly these are when I purchase one of their amazing portable power banks, wall chargers, earbuds or speakers. Their customer service is also great and I know I can always work with them if I need a replacement. But I've bought quite a few cables from them already and it's all becoming too tedious for something that just charges my phone. If you get a bad cable, you'll probably experience the following:1) Anker will contact you and ask if there is anything wrong. At this point you can tell them what is wrong with your cable. You can also reach out to them first but I find I receive better customer service when they reach out to me first.2) They will then go through the speech of saying their cables are usually good but sometimes "problem products" slip through. Then they offer to send a replacement. The first time they did this it was free and I didn't have to return anything. This last time, however, I was only offered a replacement if I sent it back or they will just refund.3) Afterwards, if you received great customer service it would mean a lot to them if you left a review. That's why many of the reviews state them reaching out. I've even changed one of my bad reviews on one of their older cables to a good one after they sent a replacement.Anyway, this whole process makes sense as people could take advantage of the system if they just keep sending out new ones. But after going through this several times, it's starting to feel like there are more "problem products" rather than actually working cables! And I did mention you get better service when they reach out to you. When I contacted them since I got the wrong color (the very first time I bought one of their cables), they said they couldn't do anything cuz I bought on amazon and not through their official site...? Now they only sell through amazon so I guess that will no longer be an issue. In the end, I'm still gonna buy Anker when it comes to their speakers and other products. All of the others, especially the speakers, offer great quality at very competitive pricing. You'd be hard-pressed to find other brands that match them! Sadly, just the small metal hooks, which become the most important part when they fail to work, don't meet these standards. I wanted to leave this review to show potential buyers sort of the "end-game" scenario to continuously buying these faulty cables. You'll find more problems than actual durable cables like they advertise. Sucks cuz they are a good brand in all other aspects! Giving two stars: 1) it's a good cable if you can afford to buy it frequently and 2) for their customer service.

Good for data; BAD as a charge cable
Never had an issue with Anker products until now...It's a good looking cable with all the strengths they list. However, there's a design issue. The Micro-B ending is very well made and is slightly thinner than a standard one of only notoriously bare metal construction; not protecting the pins aa much. Therefore, it plugs and unplugs far more smoothly than most generic charge cables. And therein lies the rub :((The cable stopped working because it begins to stop fitting the receptacle port tighly enough. It began slipping out at times, and then got to the point where even with the device sitting still , with plenty of cable length to spare (the centre of my bed, tbh) , a mere tap or bump nearby caused the device to lose connection. :((I plugged and unplugged it FAR fewer times than its specified life. In facr, likely less than the cheap one i bought couple years back at a gas station.So... Why 3 stars?1. Overall it is a well built, thick, and long cable. I never had any issue w regard to the end breaks either.2. It supports high speed charging when using any of my fast supporting power blocks (both Anker actually). In fact, it seemed to charge a device faster than my other such cable. Data Xfer speeds were also within spec.3. Whilst it worked, it was the fastest and easiest to get right charge cable I've had. Even within the world of darkness in which I live (I suffer from Photophobia) , I'm able to determine the right side up quite easily.Overall, this cable is great if you need a very long and fast power/charge/data cable that you're not going to unplug a lot.IMHO, it's far better suited to data Xfer than charging.

Buy it! Stop wasting your money!
So a couple months ago there was a span of like weeks where every week I was buying another charger for some reason and I was getting quite annoyed. So I'm like okay time to buy one awesome charger and be done with it. So I buy one of those IMKEY ones on here and I'm thinking I'm the s***. At the time it was like 10 bucks so I was feeling boosie. I get it and I open it and the freaking head of the charging port is nothing but wires. So I send it back I get another one. Why I have no idea when now looking back on it. So I get another one and I'm like okay seems built well its long so far so good. Yeah well didn't last long just completely stopped charging my phone.Which brings me here. After that experience I was like well idk what to do I really don't want to dish out over 20 dollars for a charger. I find this one. I didn't know what to think. I never heard of the company and I wasn't sure if I wanted a rubber like regular charger material, but I said for 7 bucks and for what looks like good reviews I'll try.I have had this now for about 2 or 3 months and this has been the best charger I have ever had!ProsFast chargingLong cordNo problems with connectionFits in my charging port perfectlyHardly ever tangles for being so longComes with velcro straps for rolling the cord up nicleyQuality is that of a 20 plus dollar charger and for something that cost me 7 dollars has only saved me money with how it is performingNo more buying chargersFast shippingPick your colorConsNothingI never do reviews but I have been so happy with this item it was worth my time and hopefully it has helped make yours and made you aware of the IMKEY if your like me and was looking at that one due to its size and price. Choose this one it's way better and will save you a lot of bulls*** time and money.Thanks.5 month reviewWell the charger finally died on me, it was not keeping connection. I bought another one of these and I'm still happy. Again, for the price and the size and the fast charging you can't beat it. It lasted over five months, which is better than buying one ever month like I was. The 10 foot cord makes my life so much easier and I will never go back to a smaller cord.
