All you need to start quilting
I decided to try quilting and bought this kit. It’s a perfect kit for beginners. I used the fabric and followed the instructions to make 4 pinwheel quilt blocks. I did hand sew them and am now planning a quilt around them. Btw the way the scissors in this kit are a really nice pair!

Great Kit
Great kit for the beginning quilter or someone thinking about getting into quilting.The scissors, cutting wheel, and cutting mat were higher quality than expected, and I liked the color combination on the mat. I’m used to seeing the green ones and liked the blue combo of the one sent.The packaging was nice and the care taken in hand packaging was noticeable (thread in the needle so it’s not missed in the pin cushion). The extras were a nice touch too. The instructions were clear and easy to understand, even for someone with very little sewing experience.The combination of fabrics were nice and will be perfect for practicing. I personally wouldn’t choose those colors to make a quilt, but this wasn’t a whole quilt kit, so no worries there.All around I’m impressed with the products for the price and look forward to getting started on my first quilt.

Cancer and Birth defect risk from exposure to chemical in this product
DANGER. “cancer and birth defect warning etched into rotary mat says “Warning: this product can expose you to chemicals including di(2 - ethylhexyt)phthalate (DEHP) which is known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.“. The noxious chemical odor is a horror. I cannot get it out of my house fast enough.

Pleasantly Surprised
I am revising my initial review because the original quilting set included a cutter that did not cut well. I contacted the seller and she was very apologetic and polite and promptly sent me a replacement cutter that works perfectly. Great customer service!

The perfect starter kit!
Easy to follow instructions for a pinwheel square, included, with a very sweet embroidered patch. And the fabric that came in the package is right up my ally color wise.

Good start to starter supplies for beginner quilter
Almost everything you need to get started quilting. I added pinking shears and an L Square ruler to my beginner set.
