I had been searching for a hedge trimmer for a few weeks and came across this on Amazon. I was looking for something lightweight with good blades that would trim the hedges in my landscaping. Wow! This thing does the trick! It’s super lightweight, but has amazing power and battery life. I highly recommend getting this if you’re looking for a small trimmer with lots of power!

I’m a smaller woman and I have a large hedge in my front yard. This is a great, light weight trimmer! So easy to use!!

I have a 21 inch Echo hedge trimmer which is great for trimming a row of large hedges, where you just want to square them off on the top and sides. But for small, low lying shrubs it is totally unwieldy, especially since you tend to want to round them off, not cut them square. This works great for that and you can shape them much more easily than with a large machine. Battery life is more than adequate for what I use it for, and it recharges fairly quickly. I only wish the motor had a bit more "oomph" to it, as it will occasionally jam on larger branches.

My hubby ordered this for ME! I like yard work but some items are too big & heavy for me, and this is perfect and you don't have that chance of cutting a cord!

I have a small backyard with some boxwood shrubs. I love to keep them pruned round This hedger can be used with one hand. Love it!!!

The trigger lock out safety switch is activated by a tall button requiring contact from the thumb side of of your RIGHT hand index finger knuckle as you squeeze the handle and was not comfortable or convenient for my medium size hand even though I have plenty of grip strength. Not possible to actuate one handed during left hand use.Requires reactivation every time you release trigger and Quickly becomes annoying during one hand operation.it’s possible to push the button down with left hand as you squeeze trigger, but that means you can’t hold on to anything (branch, ladder) with left hand while you do that.Those are the only reasons I gave 3 stars, will work better (5 star potential) for some users than others.Shrub trimming it does well, but depending on toughness of what you are trimming it may only take only one 1/4” branch to choke it, though powerful enough to easily cause you a serious hand/finger injury.It worked well for slowly shearing tall dense grass/weeds, which was primary reason for purchase, but the safety switch operation nuisance caused me to give up on it in about 10 minutes, so after trying it on shrubs that rarely need trimming I decided to return it.On the positive side, it is sturdy and well built, the cutting bar is plug and play, removes easily for cleaning/storage. After my 15 minutes of use, the detachable battery still indicated full charge.

It’s so portable and light I really like using it for the bottom of the bushes too with a portable seat

This is only good on very thin growth. I tried trimming a very young Butterfly Bush and it kept getting jammed. It worked on the dead thin branches around the bottom of the bush as long as it didn't come in contact with any bark. I also tried it on an evergreen shrub and it would not cut.

i bought these sheers recently to trim the shrubs ,works quiet well ,make sure you follow the instructions carefully .

Uae it to cut tall grass and plants not made for branches unless they are very thin

I bought this for when I need to do some light hedge trimming tasks. Overall, this is the perfect trimmer. The trimmer teeth are sharp, the removeable battery lasts about 1.5 hours and charges quickly. My elderly mother also tried using this and found it to be great as the small size isn't too heavy for her to hold for long periods of time; something she can't do with a full size trimmer.

I bought this trimmer to cut lavender. It worked for about 1/2 an hour nicely. Then it got hot and started smoking. I let it cool down and tried again. I believe the motor is burnt out after half an hour. Really disappointing. It's clumsy to use and not very light weight. The battery was done as well after 1/2 an hour as well. I will never by another thing from SunJoe.
