RAM MOUNTSQuick-Grip Small Phone Holder with Ball RAM-HOL-PD3-238AU with B Size 1" Ball

Very sturdy. I am using this together with the RAP-B-201U-A Composite Double Socket Arm - Short Arm, and RAM Mounts GPS RAM-B-238U Diamond Ball Base with B Size 1" Ball.My car is a 2006 Subaru (No bluetooth or NAV) so I did some checking what's behind the dash and once I determined a particular area had nothing behind it, I drilled two holes for this mount. I used two plastic anchors. My goal is to keep all devices off the windshield. Now I can have Waze displayed when I drive.

Use for holding a phone on a dirt bike. Holds up well even through a few decent crashes. Check the size of your device, as it may not fit some larger phones, especially with thick cases.

This is a great device to hold my phone securely on my moto. Pair it with a long arm and it will site securely from your handlebars up to a place to easily see while riding. Once set up for your specific phone it will not let go and phone will sit in the cradle snugly. Nice they provide nylock nuts as they won't back off from all the vibration while riding. Phone goes into and out of the cradle easily and quickly - No messing with rubber bands. Would highly recommend this to any motorcycle rider.

One of the best mounts for my phone I’ve ever used…and I’ve gone through a lot.First - I’m not a super fan of the look of the RAM products. However, I always lean more towards the functional side. And the RAM products are always fantastic.Second - Apart from the very “plasticky” and creepy looking form factor, the mount is very sturdy. I had the standard “X” version and I didn’t like that because I always had to use 2 hands. The Quick Grip is not great but it’s better in multiple ways compared to the standard “X” mount. I can use one hand and push up at the top and place my phone in a preset, perfect fitting mount.PROS:Biggest pro, is the ability to adjust and fine tune the width of your phone/device. The prongs/rails, that are on the sides stick out towards you about 1/2” so they work very well for my phone that has the Ninja wallet (with 4 cards) behind it - this increases the thickness of my phone compared to other people who just has a case. But it fits my phone very well. If you also use Ninja wallets, this mount will work well for you. If you don’t know about Ninja wallets, do a search for it on Amazon. It’ll change your change your way of life…changing it from excessive-compelled to minimal-intentional.Another pro (for me) is that RAM knows their 2 whee audience. They provide me with a handlebar mount I can use on my sports cruiser. I already trust their build quality and longevity. It makes sense to get more RAM products.CONS: The biggest con, is the looks. It’s not pretty. I guess it might be a pro, that it’s so ugly, others might not steal it??If I had a wishlist, I would ask RAM to invest in some security options, especially for motorcycles. I currently zip tie my Quick Grip phone mount when I ride and park so it may deter a thief while my bike is exposed. It would be great is RAM came up with a simple mechanical latch or additional security means for motorcyclists. I would pay for that if someone came up with that so I didn’t have to remove my RAM mount every time I was worried that someone would steal it from my motorcycle.

I have a iPhone 11 it won’t open up enough to fit so ordered the larger one

Already have the RAM base, needed a stronger and quicker access to my phone. Keeps phone sturdy, tight, and safe on my bike.

I have a 1” ball mount mounting on my bike, all I need is a phone holder with a socket.This frustrating company does not seem to make them. The phone holder has to have the ball on it. So therefor I need an adhesive 1” ball socket to with an adhesive base to mount on my bike….but they don’t seem to have one.I am done trying to make this ridiculous system work.Returning everything. Going with a company that doesn’t creat dozens of useless ball mounts without socket options.

Disclaimer- I'm employed in the product design industry.Oh boy this thing is pretty darn ugly! I'm a fan of the brand and realize RAM mounts are more for function but I don't suggest you use it in the interior of your car if you care about the aesthetic. With that out of the way let me critique on where it shines and where there are issuesPRO- I use this on my bicycle and the phone stays put! I would think it would work well even on an ATV or dirt bike off-road. I was previously using an X-Grip but it doesn't have security unless you use the rubber band thingy where the whole process of mounting your phone became an event. But rest assured this Quick Grip is solid like most of the RAM products.Here's where it falls short-It's spring loaded on top and takes some effort to tilt and put the phone in place while fighting the springs. It's a lot of torque translated to the mounting base depending on the arm length you're using, but make sure the arm base is secured to something really strong. It can break an interior panel of your car if that's where you're attaching the base. It works well on my bicycle and use an all metal handlebar base mount.Next, the description noted compatibility with the Pixel5, but the top right side support pin positions are either at the power or volume buttons depending on the chosen slot for the pin. I chose to leave about 1 or 2mm of gap extra at this pin.Wish RAM had spent a bit more effort to design this, but I guess it works.

Parts missing product add said it came with the mounting ball and it wasn’t there and had to buy separately disappointed for a 50 dollar product

El producto es muy bueno, se ve fuerte pero... Lo compre para un movil rugerizado y no entra, incluso para mi movil nubia z50s y tampoco entra!!! Esta echo para moviles mas peqeños, tener esto en cuenta.

Easy to assemble and attach to my existing RAM arm, this mobile phone cradle is extremely secure, with absolutely no movement . It is made from a very sturdy thick plastic, my only concern is that the ‘little fingers’ that cradle the mobile don’t snap off over time or weaken in the hot Aussie summer months. I guess only time will tell. That aside I am extremely happy with the unit.
