QiorangeCar Battery Isolator Disconnect Cut OFF Power Kill Switch Pack of 1

This works rather well despite being off-brand. It's a knockoff of the Hella brand name product. I am using these in conjunction with a school club at my university which had two Hella brand ones but only one key, so I can report that both the Hella keys work with this switch and this switch works with Hella brand keys.I actually would say it's better using them with the Hella keys, as those are all plastic. The reason for 4 stars is that the keys with this have a metal rod instead of a plastic nub like the Hella ones. The cheaper plastic on these visible scratches off and starts to wear down with the keys it comes with, but the harder better plastic of Hella brand switches deals fine with them, so it worked out for me as I now have 3 fully functional switches and keys.

IMPORTANT: the POWER ON requires the key to remain IN the switch. The key can only be removed when the switch is in the POWER OFF position. The key must be left in the switch while power is on. The switch is a of good quality and I highly recommend it with the one exception is that the key is always sticking out when it's in the closed position (power on).

I installed this as a battery disconnect within a Travel trailer with an MPPT solar charger and 105 AH lithium Phosphate Battery. The terminal on the switch would get warm after 8 hrs at 12A and there was a 0.3 volt drop across the switch at 12A which was not allowing the Battery to charge correctly.

I used to cut the battery out of the power system on my ATV. If left hooked up and sat a period of time the battery would run down. This is on a Suzuki King Quad that is known to do this..Problem solved love it

Has served me for about a year now and works perfectly. My 2002 envoy was having electrical issues and the battery was draining in 2-4 hours. decided to go with the cheap fix, and it has not failed me since. Just had to buy some heavy gauge wire and ran that through my fire wall so that i could mount the switch inside my vehicle. only took me about 20 minutes to install.

Use this to cut off phantom power to my camper when in storage. Works great, only wish I could put the key in, turn to off or on, and remove the key. You have to keep the key inserted for power to be on. Not a big deal, but would like to keep key with my camper keys, and not have to remove it for powering on my rig.

Kill switch works as it should, though I wish it had a few design changes:1. The wires are exposed at the base. I wish that there was a cover to protect the exposed wires. Electrical tape will have to do.2. I like to keep the key attached to the switch. I wish that a rope or cord connected the key to the switch. Also another easily fixed issue.
