Squeeeeak No More Kit Eliminates Floor Squeak Through Carpet (Multi)

I got this primarily for one nasty squeak in our only room with a carpeted floor. I probably just got very lucky, but it completely took care of it with just one screw on my first try after finding the joist with the joist finder screw.I then took care of another two squeaks that were not quite as bad. Funny enough, each of these took me several tries and 2-3 screws each, but it did get rid of them.I had no issues with using the plastic tool to break off the heads, but I only used it on 6 screws. Time will tell if it holds up.Overall very happy.

I used all the screws in the kit for a very noisy squeaky floor under carpet. I probably got rid of 75% of the noise. I left a couple of screws too high where I could feel them when I walked over them. I used a hammer to drive them deeper.

My floors are SO much quieter using this system. It’s simple to learn with a little instruction and I can now sneak into or out of my bedroom without my wife knowing!

I only had very limited success with stopping the floor squeaks that I had with the Squeak No More kit. I had several areas with squeaks. After several screws in each area it didn’t do much. It only worked on one with limited success on that one. It didn’t completely stop that one. Made it a little quieter and moved it to another spot. As far as being visible it worked okay on carpet but I wouldn’t recommend it on linoleum. Overall I wouldn’t recommend the Squeak No More kit.

I have put about 80-ish screws into an upstairs bedroom carpeted floor and not a single issue!Thank u squeek no more! - I no longer have to listen to that floor (above my room) every morning at 3am!!!

Was debating for a while if I should get this or not. I finally decided to get it and tried to use it to remedy some major squeeks in the Master Bedroom on a carpeted floor. I followed the instructions. Used a stud finder to locate joist and confirmed with their joist finding "tool". I installed several screws along the joist and spaced them 4 inches apart (confirming each screw placement with the tool provided) and also the joist past where the squeek was located When I installed the screws I bore as much weight as possible to collapse any space between the subfloor and joist until the screw bottomed out in the depth fixture Unfortunately there was no change in the squeek. It still resides in the floor, same location, same quality, same annoying spot. I wished this worked for me and my house built in the early 70s but unfortunately I had no squeek relief.The product had great instructions and seemed easy to use. My ratings are based solely on my experience. Wish I could rate higher but with the outcome I recieved I had to give them a low rating.

Not sure why “stretch” and “thickness” are things they are asking me to rate but this device and system for fixing floor squeaks is awesome! Not sure how it would work on hardwood floors but, for carpet, works like a dream. A little difficult to find the studs but, once you do, very simple to screw in, pop off the head, and NO MORE SQUEAKS!

I wasn’t sure about this, looked too good to be true. It works folks. The hardest part is finding the joist under the carpet because mine was on the second floor and could not see where the joist are located. The instructions say how far to measure from the wall but it wasn’t accurate for my house. I just went until I found one joist and measure 16 inches and found every one after that. It’s a good product and simple fix for an annoying problem.

Screws worked well, took a while to find joists but once we did things flowed easily. We had to look up joist spacing standards for Australia (45cm). Unfortunately the joist tester bits both broke about halfway through the process. We ended up finishing the job with a regular drill bit and some educated guessing. We did one bedroom, a hallway and a few extra in another room and used 48 screws - we have 2 left for future squeaks. No more squeaky floors so I'm still very happy.

I found lot of squeaky noises from walls and floor joist in my home. The whole kit is useful but specially the SNAP IT NAILS are amazing, i cant find these nails outside at home depot or anywhere.

You tubed this old house and followed the instructions exactly as shown. Did not make a difference as we still have as much squeaking as before we used this product. Was looking so forward to no more squeaks.

Wish I had discovered this a decade ago! Resolved the squeaking entirely. I did not have any problems with the test screws breaking as others had reported.
