Amish-Made Medium Honey Super Box (10 Frame)

Great product but the cardboard boxes are always so damaged I never know if the product is ok or not.The wood is good and all the pieces are there. It is well made and easy to assemble but the shipping issues I don't understand. It might be amazon or already comes with the card board looking like it was run over

I ordered 3 of these. I really wanted to like these boxes because they seems like they would be decent for the price, but they just don’t fit together properly and they have cracks in the wood. The bottom rails for the frames are too big and cause the ends to split, the boxes have cracks going through them straight out of the box and the joints on the boxes won’t fit up tightly leaving large gaps. I don’t see these lasting very long and I’m not very happy with this purchase, maybe I should have just stuck with Mann lake or dadant.The only pro I see is the plastic foundations have a very generous amount of wax.

My husband has an air gun for the nails, so his took less time, I assume than it would if you were to hammer it in place, but ours was cut to perfection and fit like a glove. Please watch the assembly video in the description prior to complaining that the pieces don't fit. If they didn't fit, and you had to make "alterations" to get it to work, then you weren't doing it correctly. It does require a hammer to fit the 2 pieces together, as shown in the video. My husband dabbed wood glue on, hammered into place and then used the nail gun. Each box took less than 5 minutes-he guessed 2 minutes per box, but I padded it with 5 just for the people who aren't crafty or unsure. The frames we bought separately took longer due to the smaller size.

Ordered in 4 of these supers. Was surprised to see they were not assembled. I looked and yup, the ad DID say assembly required. No problem! I can do. I have not inventoried any of the boxes. Opened one. Looks great. I have found that most of these kits do send extra nails as well. So far, GREAT! With lumber prices going up, these are still fairly priced. Will be needing supers hopefully this year. Planning in advance.Updated 5/16/2021. Went to put these together today. First time I have ordered a bee box in to find that nails are NOT included. Sigh. One of the top bars of one of the frames is also cracked. I might be able to fix it. Due to no nails, I reduced my rating of this product.
