Priced right, excellent value.
These are great, I install them on all my small engines to prevent gravity from pressurizing the carburator when not in use. Stops from having fuel leaks past the shut off valve.

Not good for the long run
I installed these on several of my machines, including my garden tractor and my chipper-shredder. There are common carburetor failure modes that can allow fuel to run into the engine and into the oil, creating mayhem. It's always good to be able to prevent that by shutting off the fuel between uses. These have gotten increasingly difficult to operate. After a year in service, it's a challenge to turn them. It requires enough force that it feels like they will break soon. That wouldn't be a big deal, because they were only a couple of bucks apiece; but changing them is not convenient. The fuel tank has to be empty, or the fuel line clamped off. The hose barbs are effective -- I've never seen any leakage -- and that means that the hose will probably have to be cut to remove them. Odds are that my hoses will then be too short, and require replacement. Live and learn! It's not a bargain when it causes that much hassle.

Great for a pressure washer
For my application, an inline valve on a pressure washer soap dispenser, they work great. I just cut a bit of line, warmed with my heat gun and the vinyl tubing slipped right on. From there on out, they work exactly as I wanted them to. They turn off the soap when I'm priming and on when I'm cleaning. Job well done.Quality-wise they feel decently well built. The valve has just the right amount of tension on it. Not so hard to turn that you need a pair of pliers and not so loose that it feels like its about to fall apart. Also, the fact that you get 3 for just $5 shipped makes them a great deal.My only complaint has to do with the fact they're advertised as fuel valves. If you look at the knob(I've posted a close-up pic), you can see what appears to show a gas dispenser with a line through it. It's like whatever factory made this is saying to NOT use it around gas. Conclusion, for water/soap I'm totally happy. For gas, I might look elsewhere.***My Rating Criteria***Build Quality(47.5%) - 5.0 StarsEfficacy(47.5%) - 3.0 StarsPost-Sale Support(0.0%) - n/aPackaging/Presentation(5.0%) - 4.0 StarsWEIGHTED AVERAGE(100.0%) - 4.0 STARS

Good To Have
I use these on my small engines to prevent the possibility of gas leaking through the carb to the crankcase. Basically a preventive measure and cheap insurance. I use them on my log splitter, generators, lawn mowers and garden tractor.

Works Great.
My generator was still with new parts leaking small amounts of gas and this was recommended to me. It saved me from buying more parts.
