Replaced the laser in my Xbox 360
This was an exact replacement of the laser that came in my Xbox 360. Hardest part of the install was getting the Xbox case open. Unhook the guide rails and push the tray down to give yourself more room. Pretty straightforward. Worked like a charm! I can play Rock Band again!

Worked
Worked but you need a solder gun to take off the protective droplet of solder on it for it to work

Dead on arrival
I am disappointed to say the one I got was dead on arrival, unfortunately because the fastening screw was too large I had to resort to a dab of glue to fix it into place. As such I can not return for a other. I've decided to just buy another xbox online.I wish I could write a better review but ultimately it did not perform.

LASER LENS REPLACEMENT
Easy install. Go slow and should have no problems. Don't forget the solder blob. Couple passes with desoldering braid and you are in business.

Laser DOA
Laser is new and will not power on. Requested a replacement, and returning this one. So just know you might run into this. Now I’ve got to wait for another and the next one seems it will take a couple weeks (not sure why, I have Prime)! …Wasted time installing and waiting again.

Fixed My Open Tray Error
My Xbox 360 would not recognize DVDs or Xbox Games. After the tray closed the system would try to read the disc. After a few seconds the screen would display "Open Tray". After a bit of searching I found this may be due to a bad laser assembly. I purchased this laser assembly and installed it. Presto! The Xbox now works!** Be sure to remove the solder blob on the left of the PCB connecting 3 tiny pads together before installing.
