We make these touchless hands-free door openers for businesses so employees and customers need not touch the handles to front doors, common doors, and bathrooms. With it, you can easily open a door with your shoe rather than your hands. We use them at our business. Everyone here seems to prefer opening using a shoe bottom, but we made it to be opened from the underside, too. With this design, you will need 4 wood screws to screw it to a solid-wood door. For hollow core wood doors, you will need to bolt all the way through and use washers on the other side. For a steel door, you will need #8 or #12 self-tapping screws or bolts long enough to bolt through the door. Screws/bolts not included. Note that if your door latches when shut, you will want to either remove the latch or tape over the latch and/or strike plate. We use 1/8” thick steel so this will last for years to come. You can choose to leave it in natural steel or paint it to match the decor of the room. We at RiverDriveDesigns are based in Cartersville, Georgia, and design/make all our own pergola brackets, shop table brackets, Candle Toppers, and True Bullnose padded carpet stair treads. We are a small, family-owned/operated business which proudly pays a living wage, sources raw materials locally, and recycles all scrap steel.
