This is the best collection of ironwork designs that I've found. I absolutely love the designs in this book. I wish there were more of them. The book is very well done and worth the price.

Absolutely love this book. The cover drew me in and the contents is the best Ironwork that I have seen so far.!!

Not a 'how-to' but very insightful. A look into the environment in which Samuel Yellin and Francis Whitaker studied and were taught their craft by European Masters in Düsseldorf Germany in the early twentieth century. Hundreds of beautifully rendered images in precisely clear illustrations show a whole host of ironwork in that city. Not for beginner blacksmiths but the developing smith who has achieved some skills can draw inspiration from these examples to incorporate into his or her own work.

This is a pattern book of wrought ironwork designs, some of which look very intricate, but can be simplified for anyone who is interested in making similar works by traditional methods or with scrolling and bending machines. As a source book for gates, ballustrades and grilles, etc. it is excellent. My single criticism is that it is all highly ornate and feel that some simpler examples or those that are more understated would be good too.
