Don't buy
Piece of junk. Instructions were incomprehensible, I put in two sets of brand new batteries and couldn't even get the thing to turn on. After a few wasted hours, I threw it in the trash. Don't waste your money or your time. Unfortunately, can't give less than one star when posting. Wish Amazon would let us post zero stars.

Not as fun as you think
The directions were obviously written by someone who doesn't speak or write English, so that's kind of an issue. Also you have to go through all the demos before you can just jam on your own which is kind of complicated and annoying for a kid. My niece just got a guitar and I thought this device would be useful in helping her with her fret work while she is sitting on the bus or just hanging out at home watching TV. Yes, strumming the laser is pretty cool, but it takes a lot of practice to get it right and you can easily lose patience because it is so easy to hold it the wrong way and obstruct the laser light which causes the toy not to work.

Air Guitar, a Christmas Hit
BOth my grandsons, aged 12 and 16 loved it. both are musicians, but still had fun "dueling" with Air Guitar. Now their father wants one!
