I bought a Dyson DC33 a while back when my Oreck stopped working. I bought my Dyson at a local vacuum cleaner shop and I love my Dyson!! The stair brush that came with mine didn’t fit, and kept falling out as I would vacuum.. My puppy even got a hold of it and started using it as a chew toy. I ordered this replacement off of Amazon and it works great and actually stays in place!! I’ve included pictures of the stair tool that came with my Dyson upon purchase and after with the one off of Amazon. Then a side by side comparison! I love it! This is the answer to Jack Russell hair- We clean houses and use Dyson vacs (don’t tell- I know they’re not for commercial use) One client has a Jack Russell - Rather than heed our advice and get upholstery that matches the dog, they have a dark brown sectional of vast proportions- This attachment is the best that we’ve found for quickly getting all the hair vacuumed up.

I originally tried to order this part directly from Dyson. Because there was no confirming e-mail, I thought the order had not been accepted. So, I ordered it two days later via Amazon. From Amazon, the part arrived about two days earlier than from Dyson. The two parts were slightly different. The front edge on the part sourced through Amazon has a comb feature comprised of raised ribs. The part sourced directly from Dyson has the red fabric brush on the front edge, just like the brush on the back edge of both tools. Both should work just fine. But, there is a difference. Could it be that the Amazon part is actually Dyson part number 915100-01? Ironically, the cost including shipping was lower through Amazon.

Works well and feels like an OEM replacement. Sung fit and doesn't come loose while using. Suction is pretty good too.

I own the Dyson DC41 Animal. I purchased this product to replace the one that came with my vacuum (my puppy chewed that one). This is the exact same product and I love it. The Dyson DC41 Animal (purchased at Target) is the best vacuum I've ever owned. It does a great job at picking up cat and dog hair off the floor (carpet, tile, and wood) as well as off the furniture. I love that the hose is extra long too. I used this attachment to vacuum the decorative high shelves and top of my kitchen cabinets. I love it!

This is the only thing that works for getting our dog’s hair off the furniture and their beds. Suction is still powerful with attachment and it picks up the hair no problem.

The "spinning" wands (any brand or vacuum type) don't seem to work that well because of the amount of air force needed to let them spin. This simple brush seems to work well. Watch for snagging of carpet if you get too aggressive. But if you are careful, you shouldn't have any problem. Fits in the little accessory hole on our Animal DC41.

So I got this specifically for woof stairs. It’s good for upolstry so I’m going to keep it. However, if you’re getting for stairs like I did - I assume it’s better for carpeted stairs. For hard surfaces it doesn’t sit flat so not a lot of suction applied. It’s impossible to use for that specific task. I gave 3 stars because it’s still useful but, stair tool is not what it should be named.

works a lot better than the newer model for stairs.Picks up hair and dander from my long haired cats and dogs.I use it to do all my carpets instead of all other attachments. picks up hair so much faster. Thanks.Delivery was so but product is great.
