Required Reading for Journalists
This was an enlightening book which I found truly enjoyable to read and the author's storytelling ability should be commended. I wish this book would be required reading for all journalism students and all professional journalists -- especially those working in the mainstream media and especially those working in New York or D.C.It was refreshing to learn that there was actually a journalist who was right-of-center and who could also connect with Americans of all political stripes. From my own listening to Paul Harvey in the 70s and 80s I knew he was a staunch patriot. What I didn't realize is that he started sounding the alarm bells in the 40s and 50s about the dangers of Marxism, socialism, and communism. If you elect to purchase this book I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Loved it
I miss Paul Harvey and this book brings back all the great memories I had of him as I grew up. A great American who is not ashamed of the United States, it's founding and the moral values which made this land a beacon on a hill for the world.

Worthy Tribute
Paul Harvey (Aurandt) was America's greatest radio broadcaster of all time, but will too quickly be forgotten in a culture that has left radio behind. Books and recordings help preserve that memory. Unlike the more biographical "Good Day! The Paul Harvey Story", this book is a collection of episodes from his life, commentaries and historical events that give a good picture of the man himself. A must-read for fellow Paul Harvey afficionados.

Paul Harvey -- True AMERICAN HERO!
I saw this book and author originally on Fox News. Since I've admired Paul Harvey's work for many, many years, but knew little about him, I decided to purchase the book for my Kindle. It was a very good read and flowed very nicely. The author has done a great job in capturing Paul Harvey's life ... I became completely addicted to the book and to learning more about the voice that I had grown up with. He is a true American story and I wish his voice and news/comment to live on forever. God bless he and Angel (and Little Paul) for what they've given our world. You won't be sorry with this one.

Enjoyable Winter Read
The book is well-written and captures Harvey's interesting life. At times the author seems willing to bend over backwards to justify a few of Harvey's somewhat questionable comments or actions. But overall the book is a fine tribute to a remarkable man who left a positive impact on his country.
