Sound great but do not install more than one pair on a stock system running on 4ohms.
Since these are 2.7ohm speakers they will draw extra power from a 4ohm stock head unit. By doing this these speakers get a lot louder and clearer than a 4ohm speaker can with just the stock head unit powering it. But this also can cause issues if you try to draw too much from the unit with too many low ohm speakers. Our 2013 Rav4 (non-JBL package) has 2 pairs of 6.5" speakers in the front and back doors and a pair of 3.75" speakers in the dash. Everything stock is 4ohm. I first replaced the dash and front doors with matching GX series and the sound improvement was amazing considering it was just a relatively cheap speaker upgrade for the dash and front door speakers. I decided to install 2 more of these GX speakers into the back doors but what I found out is that they were choking the power from the head unit and the overall sound got quieter and not as clear.I removed the 2.7ohm JBLs in the back door only and put the stock 4ohms back in and the great sound and volume came right back. So my advice is if you're gonna add these to a stock system, only replace one pair. You can get away with also replacing smaller 3.75" speakers with the matching GX speakers since they don't draw a lot of power even at 2.7ohm.So with an approximately $150 cost upgrade for the dash and front door speakers + wiring and mounts this has made a huge improvement to the stock sound system on our Rav4. It's not bumping like it has a sub or anything but it does sound like a premium sound system. Pair it up with a small powered sub and you'll have a very efficient and cost-effective sound system.

Great sound over stock
I used these to replace the factory 5.25” speakers in our Jeep TJ roll bar speaker pods. (easy mod btw)What an improvement in Bass and midrange. JBL never fails to impress me, even their low price point utilitarian use speakers. For the money these are tough to beat, just don’t expect an audiophile miracle.

The sound and quality.
These speakers sound good in my convertible. It's a good speaker and quality for the money with a perfect fit and very easy to set up.

JUST BUY THEM.
I own 8 of these running on a recoil 4 way and lets just say they get DOWN the bass is ok at high vol but these are not for that got them running at 80-90hrz bass with my 70-100 hrz punch bass sub and 30-60 hrz sub and lets just say at 1/4 power they can over power the subs.

Great OEM replacement for Toyota Sequoia
Replaced two front blown-out stock speakers in a 2nd gen Sequoia with a JBL sound system. I replaced the head unit a few years ago but left everything else stock. Since the speakers were blown out, and given the age of the vehicle, I was just looking for something serviceable. OEM speakers were outrageously expensive. These were cheap and perfect for what I needed.I wasn't sure about using 2.7 ohms instead of 2.0ohm like the original, since I had read a lot about problems using the wrong ohms for a system, but 2.7ohm it doesn't seem to make any difference. These speakers plus the metro adapter and connector made the replacement job very easy.

Good upgrade from factory 03-06 GM Bose sytem
Ran these in the rear doors of my avalanche and JBL components up front. They are amazing upgrades from the Bose audio from factory. Running on stock Bose amp and they have the right amount of bass and vocals to jam out but not blow your ear drums out from the vocals.

Amazing sound quality
These speaker replaced 2018 ford OEM speakers with factory head unit no amp and they are night and day difference. They get louder than the factory ones with the lower ohms and stay crystal clear! A lot of people on hear complain about the bass response on these but these are not designed to produce bass like a subwoofer. With that being said the bass response is really good way better than the factory speakers. If you find your self wanting more bass then consider adding a subwoofer to your system but for most people the bass these produce will be more than enough for the average person unless your a basshead. This is going to be a controversial tip and take it as you wish but in my experience let the speaker break in!! When I first installed them honestly they didn’t sound all that great and was a little disappointed but I gave them the benefit of doubt and kept them in. I left my bass eq settings flat for the first two weeks and as time went on I slowly added bass until I was happy with the bass response. After listening to them for a month I’m extremely happy with how these sound!!! Every car will be different so make sure you tune your EQ settings properly or else these speakers will sound like dog water. I have always been a fan on JBL and have used many of their products. These speakers sealed the deal for me and will always support JBL moving forward!!
