Never cared for paprika until now
The taste of this paprika stands out. I mixed it with salt and pepper and coated some cod with it and it was dynamite. I plan on cooking with paprika a little more.

Good flavor
Packed very tight. Fine powder with very small holes. Had to put in another shaker with larger holes.

Delitious Spicy Paprika
This paprika is very tasty. I thought paprika was always sweet and not hot. Now I know the Spanish strain is also spicy. It smells wonderful when cooking and fills the house with appetizing aromas. Once cooked, a lot of the heat goes away. The taste is also unique and I like it much better than the typical smoked paprika.

This product is great. It has become my favorite paprika
This product is great. It has become my favorite paprika. I can't use the non-smoked kind anymore. The first time I opened it, smokiness wafted up to my nose. Tastes great! Great compliment to my dishes.

Way better than the Trader Joes or Newman's Own paprika
If you've been using regular old paprika from whatever State-side brand, you need to give this a go. I never thought paprika had such contrasting flavors, and I would usually get whatever that's on the shelf. Our normal go to brand is from Trader Joes. They have a smoked paprika. If you see it in my hand pic, it's the much darker, browner / red looking spice. On the left, you'll see a bright orange / red spice, and that's the Kiva. Doing a taste test, the Kiva is MUCH better. The TJ's spice is more like a chili powder. It has an odd, grittyness to it, whereas the Kiva is finely milled like a powder. The taste is very different too. The Kiva is MUCH spicier, and there is noticeable heat. It's not overpowering like Cayenne, but it definitely heats the tongue as opposed to the TJ's which has no heat to it. The flavor comparison is also bright and lively. It has a nice smoky hint of flavor, whereas the TJ's tasted muddy and earthy. It was not good in comparison, and now that I know what a good paprika is, I'm most definitely going to not use TJ's anymore. What about the Newman's Own? It was a good balance. It lacked the heat and smokiness from the other paprikas, but it was somewhat "sweeter" in flavor. However, there is an odd flavor that's somewhat similar to rosemary, and as you can see in its ingredients, there is rosemary extract in the spice. So, I didn't like it nearly as much as the Kiva.
