Anti-Aging Collagen-Konjac Cleansing Facial Sponge

I loved the feel of the sponge, but felt it was a little small. I sort of felt like I was washing with a kid sized sponge. I didn't really get to notice if it made a difference in my skin because the sponge got moldy very quickly. I hung it to dry after every shower but i live at the beach and things just go moldy here, I don't use any other kind of sponge even to wash dishes, because mold is so quick to grow here. I'm sad I didn't get to use it longer because it did feel good.UPDATE - First kudos to the company for contacting me when I posted my feedback. They sent me a new sponge and assured me that they too live in a humid climate and have not had this issue. So I don't know if I just got a bad one or I didn't put it somewhere to adequately dry or what (I'll be totally honest I'm wondering if it wasn't mold and just discoloration from product?) OK so I've been using my new one for a month now and a couple of things. One I find I don't have as many black heads now or the red bumps I get on my jawline. I was traveling for two weeks and I left my good soap in a hotel room and for the last 5 days of the trip didn't use any soap, just the sponge and water... my skin still looked great. With great customer service and an inexpensive solution that keeps my skin clear they have created a loyal customer in me!! THANK YOU for letting me try it again, I would have been seriously missing out.

I JUST got this about 5 minutes ago, and noted immediately that it is NOT the package in the photo. The packaging is a translucent white with orange lettering and can't be read AT ALL. So there is NO way to find out how to use it. From the description, it seems to be the same product in the ad, but VERY disappointed that I can't know for sure if I'm using it properly as I can't see the instructions. Whoever decided to re-package this thing did a ridiculous job as they should have SEEN it couldn't be read!!!I'll update this when I have had time to use it and see how I like it.I have used it a couple of times, and it is so so. The first time, it made my face VERY red about 1 minute after using, and the flushed red remained for several hours. My face hasn't done it after that first time, and this product is ok, but I'm not terribly impressed with it. It does make my face feel very 'scrubbed' without any actual scrubbing sensation, but I'm not sure I'd buy it again.

I did like this sponge a lot, although I just don't feel comfortable giving it 5 stars since I'm not sure I can say that I LOVE it. I've only had it for about a week now, so if over time my opinion of it changes I will update my review. It did do a great job of clearing up some rough winter skin issues I was having on my face. I don't use soap with it, just warm water. If I'm wearing makeup, I use olive oil to remove the makeup first. Then, I just use warm water and the sponge. My face feels clean and my skin tone looks even in the morning when I wake up. I think it's a nice addition to someone's skin care routine if they need some gentle exfoliation.

Not really sure that this is doing anything that a wash rag doesn't. It seems to be making my skin flaky, maybe that is how it works, getting rid of old bad skin cells. I am hoping that it will get better, and there is a new younger me is under all that flaky skin :). so far, I haven't made up my mind, but I keep getting emails from the company, to review their product, so here it is.

Really like this. I find you can use dry or wet, sometimes in the morning I use dry to sculpt my face or at night to remove dead skin, other times I use wet. I have no idea if it’s working or anything but it makes me feel pretty and has held up nicely. I recommend this product.

I have used other konnyaku sponges before, this is lovely and good price. I didn't want the collagen additive though, although it doesn't seem to have any noticeable difference. I just didn't want any animal products in my face sponge.UPDATE JULY 2015: have been using the current sponge for about 6 months with no sign of deterioration :) awesome! I use mine every day. Just went to repurchase but the price has shot up to almost $10.... boohoooo....

Took a chance on the "off brand" of these konjac sponges and wasn't disappointed. The shape is both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand the flat side of the half-sphere shape is good for cheeks and forehead with the other side working well on the contours around the eye-area and nose. On the other hand the overall thickness at the peak of the sphere shape means it takes longer to absorb water and be ready for use. Dries out evenly, too! These were on sale when I bought them so I bought a few and gave them to friends to have them try as well. Everyone really likes them!

Not sure why it is shaped the way it is; seems like a larger, flat sponge would be more effective for facial purposes. It does do a decent job of cleansing, but the size and shape is strange. There's also a string attached to it. Makes me wonder what this thing was originally manufactured for. I don't think it started out as a facial sponge.
