This is not my first purchase of silk pillowcases. But when I opened these pillowcases I was totally surprised with the quality and how different they were from my past purchases. These pillowcases are soft and elegant. The texture is not shiny and slippery, which will have you sliding off your pillow all night. Definitely will be repurchasing and recommending to family and friends!

I got this for my mom to try out the silk pillow cases since I love them. She has shorter hair & every time she slept on this it gave her volume. Not the good kind of volume, the kind that is sticking up & out like crazy kind. Think Einstein but a tad shorter. She also complained that the material was very slippery & she felt like she kept sliding off of it. Which many others have mentioned as well. In the end she passed it onto me because she was not happy with it & it was not comfortable for her.I have several silk pillow cases some high end & others around this price range. Unfortunately, this is my least favorite. There are nicer quality options for cheaper that can be found at TJ Maxx type stores. After only a few times of washing this, there were so many little pills & snags of the fabric which no others that I own, that are washed the same way, have. It is soft but I would also agree with my mom, I experience the more slippery effect as well. Which I do not find as bothersome with other ones I own cheap or expensive. I did do a lot of research on the different options of 100% silk pillow cases offered on Amazon.I was very hopeful about this case. Although, I did have some concerns on the slippery feeling, durability & quality of this pillow case. My concerns, unfortunately, were valid. There are better, nice & higher quality pillow cases out there than this one. I would not purchase again. I could not in good conscious 100% recommended spending your hard earned money on this.I would suggest it though & would encourage you to read other reviews. The price is good but it isn’t going to last you years & quite possibly even a year. Be aware of the negative issues that others have experienced. If none of the issues pointed out in reviews bother you, then you might enjoy this. If the issues are a concern for you then I would skip this pillow case. I had high hopes but sadly this fell short for not only myself but also my mom.

I absolutely LOVE this pillowcase. After sleeping on a silk pillowcase, I don't know how I could ever go back to anything else. People have been telling me for a while how great silk pillowcases are for skin and hair. I don't know why it took me so long, however this is one of the best purchases I have made for myself! The quality of the pillowcase is outstanding and it feels great. I am already noticing my hair and skin looking better in the morning. More refreshed and less bed head. I am so glad I finally got one. You won regret it!

I was interested in trying a silk pillow case for the comfort and the purported benefits to your hair and face from sleeping on silk. The Beauty of the Orient pillow case certainly exceeded my expectations. The product is very high quality, particularly in the softness and comfort of the silk, and the "barely visible" zipper. I was very pleased with the coolness of the silk, and how it was very gentle on my hair and face. Plus, the pillow case is beautiful, and the color looks great on my bed. I will be buying some more for my guest room, and provide my guest with a high quality, comfortable pillow treat!

I always wanted silk beddings but the prices are usually too high for me. This pillowcase has affordable price while maintaining all the good quality of pillowcase. It is nicely packaged and comes with wash instructions so I don’t need to spend extra time googling.The pillowcase looks beautiful and fits perfectly on my pillow. I love the zipper feature that keeps my pillow inside. I used to have an Egyptian cotton case that doesn’t close on one end, and my pillow slipped out all the time. I thought Egyptian cotton was great but mulberry silk is definitely on another level. The silk fabric is lightweight and it feels fresh & cool on my skin when I go to bed. I’m not an expert on skincare but I have noticed less acne and breakouts on my face.So far I’m really happy about this purchase. So glad I made the switch!

Love this pillowcase. It is SILKY and soft. Well made and the zipper is comfortable and you don't even notice it's there, and the best part is that it holds the pillow in. It's a bit overpriced in my opinion, but excellent quality.

Out of the 5 or so different brands of quality 19 momme mulberry silk pillowcases that I have so far purchased in the $20-30 range on Amazon, this Beauty of Orient wins for the silkiest of silk feeling!!! Every brand feels silky as they should, but there is just an extra rich and luscious softness to how this one feels to the touch. I always hand wash my silk pillowcases inside out in Woolite with cool water before using, roll up in a dry towel to remove water, and lay flat to air dry, usually smoothed out across the top of my ironing board. This pillowcase washed up very well, several times now, with no noticeable color bleeding, and dried with minimal wrinkles back its fabulous silky smoothness! I change silk pillowcases every few days and this one is now top favorite of mine in rotation! Bravo, Beauty of Orient!!!You want to know what else I noticed? The inside has the best well-sewn and tightest seams of the several different brands I have purchased in the price range. The hidden zipper runs smoothly with each zipper end actually finished off with a straight and clean French seam, not just cut off and barely tacked down at some strange and crooked angle, as an after-thought. It really is the little attention to the finer details like this, that help your brand stand out in the vast variety of other silk pillowcases, so don't go and start cutting corners! From the glorious silky quality to the extra attention to the inside sewing details, I am eager to purchase a few more silk pillowcases from Beauty of Orient!

Great pillow, but it does tend to show darker spots that reflect oil or saliva from a night of sleeping.
