A pleasant surprise!
I confess I was getting a little bored with "Get Stronger: the Light Novel Series," but I found this volume quite enjoyable. We get to know an interesting new character (well, he had a cameo before, but little else) and get some further development for a couple of recurring characters. Fran experiences some personal growth with significance that goes beyond merely being stronger. Plot threads from the previous volume actually get follow-ups (the Beast King, the Blue Cats, Lumina, Kiara, etc.). And there's some cool worldbuilding.I went into this volume seriously questioning whether I'd continue with the series, but having now finished vol. 6, I'm definitely more eager to see where we go from here.

4.5? Good tournament, nice variety of skills, one thread vanishes
Everything Fran was building to in the previous book comes to fruition. The tournament finally gets going (and wraps up) in this book. The side story line with the Beast King in the previous book becomes the main driver for heading into the next one. The tournament combat moves along well (some really fast, some with more detail), there are advances in long term goals (who made teacher and a Chaos discussion), and the setup leading to what is next for Fran has me eager for that book.Only aspect I felt dropped was the "shadow" figure that was dealing with drugs and pursuing the sword. That wrap-up was very anti-climactic as there was not real showdown to resolve it. Since a pretty good amount of story work in the previous book was based upon that thread, it seemed odd to just have it wrapped up in a narrative chat with the GM.

Boring.
Both Fran and Teacher's characters are flat and uninteresting in this novel. Despite being led through a series of events / battles that are presumably exciting Teacher's monologue was monotone and just didn't lend itself to conveying a sense of excitement or fear as the events unfolded.

Good but jumps around with the timeline
Don't get me wrong it was an excellent story I just felt it was to distracting when it the book starts with a time skip of a couple weeks then later in the book it give you a flashback of what happened with no explanation. It could have set some things up in a prologue chapter beforehand like when they're are in the middle of a fight and there's a flashback to training, could've just had a small chapter saying she was going to train with Lumina for the fights and then have a short flashback when needed instead of a chapter of flashbacks.

Never disappointed
So my idea for this book was to take my time, enjoy it since its been sometime waiting to read the next chapter of dear little Fran's and Teachers story, that was quickly ruined. The story and writing is just so much fun to read, and I cant help but smile as I read this light novel. This novel is a great sequel to the other parts, and I hope Mr. Tanaka continues to make this an incredible series. If you ever happen to read this Mr. Author, your the equivalent to a GodSword! May you have a Chaotic Day! ^.^)/

Very fun story
I've read Fran and Teacher's story since you published volume one! I love your stories and recommend them to anyone else who enjoys similar genres as me. My only criticism is that, at times, your writing style can be a bit childish and immature. But that means that as much as I enjoy your stories, there is still room to get better! I look forward to it and hope to see more soon!

Inconsistent but still fun
There’s some glaring plot inconsistency between this and volume 5, namely the black cats’ punishment. The fights are still fun but the big plot twist definitely felt a little anticlimactic

OP battles and fun to read
If you thought the battles and action in previous volumes of this light novel series were OP and insane - brace yourselves. This volume turns it up to eleventy!I picked up the first book in this series to try after bouncing hard off a similar concept reincarnation light novel. This series was much more fun and enjoyable to read. The main characters start off feeling a bit simplistic but over time develop into more interesting characters as their backstories develop. My only criticism is that somewhere during the translation to english, the consistency of the characters skills and stats isn't up to par over time. But I'm loving this series amd decoured this book in a single day. After finishing this volume, I instabuyed the next volume.

Still a nice novel, but not great
With this novel being one big tournament-arc, there was a lot of action to be expected and it delivered. The fights, that weren't one-hit-kills were stunningly choreographed with quite creative use of the possibilities at hand. What saddens me, though, is that there were a LOT of one-hit-kills in this novel. I get that all those comical contrasts and simplfiications and differences in power save time and serve as a part of the picture the author wants to draw, but i'm gradually growing tired of it. Fran still isn't much of a character ( please, stop being so predictable! Maybe grow in character?) and Teacher hovers around her like a third-person-narrator that just won't shut up. An actual character capable of conversation for the coreteam would be a nice add, i thinkAlso, escaping a really tight spot in battle by pulling an overkill-skill out of nowhere and going all "ha ha! They acquired that one three days ago, but i didn't tell you!" is not ladylike and the author did that twice! In rather close succession. Frans desperatly craved breakthrough deserved better in my opinion.

Great continuation, the right lessons were learned
Fran does it again, this one is a bit more combat focused, and you can tell compared to the earlier novels that the author is getting better at describing fights. This one felt so vivid reading (I got a bit emotional at some points) and I can't wait for the next to be available!
