Very Enjoyable
This was the first book by this author for me. I was pleasantly surprised.I really liked it.I really liked these characters.Ava was a strong, stubborn, single mom. Her whole focus was her children. Mainly her son and his anger issues. Newly divorced. She has moved back to her grandmother's home. A place she used to visit in the summer. A place where she fell in love, and found a family. The same family who, picked up and moved in the middle of the night. No notice, no goodbye. Just gone. Leaving her alone and pregnant.Maverick is the alpha dragon of his clan. He’s very close to his family. Loves his job as a deputy sheriff, working along side his father and older brother. His only regret has been taking off and leaving his one true love behind. Now she’s back, and with her is his seventeen year old son. His son who is about to go through his first shift. Now he needs to explain all about what he really is to Ava so he can help his son.Hopefully she won’t be the one running away from him this time.I loved the story. These dragons are very family oriented. Family calms them. Helps keep their tempers in check. There was a little drama, but mostly it was a good reconnecting, second chance romance. It was well written and kept my attention throughout. I read it in one sitting.Dual points of view.It has a great epilogue that wraps up Maverick and Ava’s story, and sets up the next book.

Single mom with a son who will surprise her!
She is going to the little town she calls home and looking for a new beginning! Little does she know, her son's father will be there and he has a secret to tell! Sexually explicit shifter romance!

You Have To Read This Book!!!
I read this book under 10 hours. It was so good that I made time during the night and day to read it. I love the storyline and you can not help but fall in love with the characters. There are only a few grammatical errors but it does not throw the reader off. I would recommend this book as a great escape and best alternative to watching a romance movie. Awesome story!!!! Affordable price for an excellent book with great family values!!!

Easy Read
This was a light easy read. I saw quite a bit of potential for this to become a more in-depth story but it never reached that level. If you're looking for quick entertainment than this is a good book for you. If you're looking for a book that you can't put down until you're done, I don't know that this makes this cut. Read and decide for yourself.

Just Meh....
The story was basic and there were very few obstacles for the HEA to occur. The characters were not well developed. I would sum up the book as -shallow. I feel two stars is generous but need to give the author credit for reasonable editing, as I do not recall too many grammatical issues in this book.

An Exceptional Read
What an exceptional read, I have little time for this review because I already have the sequel and can't wait to read it. In fact, I am looking forward to reading the entire series. Thank you to Focus Day was being so thorough in her explanations for being a shifter and it's origins. I also thoroughly enjoyed this love story and the exceptional love and guidance of this Dragon family.

Her Dragon Daddy
This is the first in this series. They were high school sweethearts but one day he and his family disappeared. She found out that she was pregnant with his child. But she couldn't find him. Now eighteen years later they are both back in the town where it all started. What happens when he finds out that she was left pregnant? And what will she do when she sees him again? There is so many things going on. And I don't want to give away the storyline. But when you mix in that he is a dragon shifter and she is human things get challenging for all concerned.

Easy read for a rainy afternoon.
Initial thoughts: good read, quick (I finished it on a rainy spring day). Typical for a 2nd chance/ fated mates storyline. I'd put this author a rung below Dana Archer or Mandy Roth for E-Supernatural Romance Novel.I was excited that the book is on the 'multicultural genre' list...but missed where it was in the series.I read an excerpt in a Facebook ad. The characters, Ava & Maverick, reach out and grabbed me.I rounded UP to a FOUR star review. There are a few spectacular lines and Chapter three is amazing. I was pleased with the HEA (I despise cliffhangers). The Author developed the secondary characters in the way that will allow her to continue writing a good series.Typos and continuity issues have been mentioned my other reviewers....I don't know if the author (of her team) does not read them, but IMO they are easy fixes that could elevate the books rating. There is a past triangle that isn't developed, so what it explodes on the pages of chapter 23 it feels like an afterthought of the author. I honestly believe she could have removed one or two to the scenes with sexual content and built to Chapter 23 better.Had I seen the actual cover or known the book was pushing toward E-Rom I wouldn't have picked it up.I did enjoy it enough to purchase Book 2 in the Black Claw series. Now, I just need to wait for a rainy day to read it.

A good read
The story line gives plenty of information including back stories of a he main characters. It flows nicely with a couple of twists through in that you don’t see coming. I’ve been in a book slump for a couple of weeks now and this book is the first that kept me until the end. Definitely worth a read

Her Dragon Daddy: Black Claw Dragons (1)
I love a good Dragon Shifter book. Yes I know Dragons aren't real, are they? Also that they're not all nice people/dragons but! They are my favourite shifters and Roxie Ray writes a good shifter book with a good combo of action and romance, so if you too like shifter books you'll enjoy thisSue P

Loved it...
Oh what joy..love all the characters, especially Maverick and and Ava of course. Their journey is far from smooth but love can still find away. This is book one, so can't wait to read the next. A must read for all Dragon shifters.
