South ShoreFusion 5-Drawer Chest, Pure White

I think it should be obvious to anyone who pays this amount of money for a piece of furniture that you're not buying anything close to something anyone would describe as 'high quality' ....So with that in mind, it's actually not a bad item. A lot of the other reviews here recommended using wood glue alongside the fasteners they include with the set. I echo that recommendation and believe that if you do this, it will last you quite a while. I took my time and put this thing together in one evening and while it's somewhat flimsy, I believe the addition of the glue will definitely keep it together. I probably wouldn't recommend overfilling the drawers though, as the bottoms are definitely not designed to be under any significant pressure.My only real "complaint" with this item is that the instructions identify all the parts by number ... while the bags that the parts are in are not identified as such. So I had to spend some time - something I also recommend - sorting through all the pieces and numbering them myself so that I wouldn't make any mistakes (some of the pieces look similar but are different) when it mattered.For someone that generally has zero patience for putting things like this together, I never got angry once.I also recommend having a second pair of hands to help you with certain aspects of this.Take your time, USE GLUE, and you'll have a decent little chest here.

First and foremost, this looks nice. that's the only pro. Assembly was pretty straight forward. instructions could have stated the colors of the screws to be needed on page 7. Customer service is not west coast time zone friendly.The con's.So much wasted space. Again, so much wasted space. I bought these with the intentions of upgrading my kids 3 drawer dresser to the 5. I've had the old dresser for 10 years. Which i bought from Ikea for cheap. this dresser had similar dimensions of my old one. (cool) . Once i started putting this together. I got to the rails.. They are only 13in long...the cabinet is almost on 19in in depth. About 4 to 6in in space is lost, just gone. you can see the gap. the ikea dresser, fully utilized the space. this one, not so much. you can see in the pictures. this company could have used higher wood, longer rails and just put some time into fully utilizing the space. this would have been perfect. As a cost cutting measure, they destroyed this entire dresser.. it is not worth it. the ikea dresser was a beast, this one - is a my little pony knock-off. My kids clothes could be sectioned 4x, a total of 8 stacks of shirts and 4 rows of pants on my old ikea. this one, i could do three rows of pants and shirts. What i could do in three drawers on the ikea dresser, i literary had to use all 5 drawers and with no leftover space..none, zero..This is a bad review due to me having something to compare this against . if this is your first dresser, it is fine i guess.FYI, lots of damaged pieces , i stopped taking pictures. they don't quality control their product These damages didn't happen in shipping. it happened during the cutting process. Buy from IKEA, skip this garbage made in USA, can't even return this item due to it's weight and not worth the hassle. Just don't buy this.

I don't often write reviews, but feel compelled to warn others about this product.I was initially going to actually post a 4 or 5 star review for this item because it looks fantastic. Like others here said, it is sleek, sharp, and looks great in my room. However, a week or so after I built this dresser, it went to crap. Every single drawer falls apart. One day it's the top drawer, the next day the bottom drawer, rinse and repeat. The design is simply so poor that they will not stay together. Furthermore, the thin piece of plywood that they provide for the bottom of each drawer is so thin and has a downward bend to it in such a way that you better believe it will sink and break under the weight of more than a handful of shirts or pants. Not saying that 2 or 3 shirts will break the thing, but I can guarantee that if you try to stuff a normal to heavy amount of clothes in any drawer that it will break by the time you wake up the next morning.I'm certainly aware that this isn't the most expensive or highest quality piece of furniture, but for $170 I expected something that could stay together for over a week. And before you think differently, I can assure you that I built the dresser perfectly and according to instructions. I could not stress any stronger that you need to avoid this item.

Even though furniture store professional had assembled it and could not adjust this side. However, there were 4 scrwe of 144 was missing.I'm not really happy for such product. This was fairly easy to assemble. the instructions say it takes two persons; however, I was able to manage by myself.The packaging and the dresser itself are incredibly heavy. I had to take out the pieces from the box and carry them upstairs as the box was too heavy for me to carry upstairs on my own.The dresser is great. My only issue - and it is slight - is the sides of the drawers are so short compared to the front. I am still able to fit my clothes in, but the sides of the drawer (and the back) are about half the size of the front of the drawer. So far everything has stayed in that I placed in it, but I was slightly surprised they were so much shorter than the front. Regardless, it has been perfect and no issue at all.The dresser is really great. The smell of wood lasted about a week after assembly in the room it was in, but I didn't mind that so much.

Great product! Unexpectedly good quality! They are beautiful, very sturdy and relatively easy to put together. There is a bit of a chemically smell that hasn't gone away yet (about 2 weeks old) but it' doesnt bother us at all. Delivery was super reasonable, all the pieces were there and nothing was damaged. The tracks are nice and quiet though the drawers do slam a little.I spent months reading reviews of dressers before finally buying this one and I'm glad I did!However something IMPORTANT to be aware of: the hardware is all sectioned up but it's wrong! Make sure you use the pieces as shown in the instructions, not how they are packaged otherwise you'll be starting over.

Canadian company, excellent quality and size for the price. I had to contact customer service for a small issue. The gentleman I spoke to at Southshore was the GOLD STANDARD of what customer service should be. Its scary buying furniture online. South shore has great instructions and great quality. Very happy!

I bought t Kullen dresser from ikea in February. The dresser broke in the first week of May. It was rather upsetting. This dresser was my replacement. It was far easier to put together. Everything was labelled really well and instructions were far more clear than the Kullen. The build is sturdier as well since there are metal tracks on the drawers.There is a comment about how there is about 5 inches of waisted space inside of the dressers. The drawers are roughly 5 inches shorter than the frame. This is true. Initially, I was frustrated by this but it is still able to hold more clothes than my old Ikea Kullen 5 drawer dresser so my frustration isn’t as severe as it could have been.

The media could not be loaded.  Hard to see the damage in the photos but there's a 3 inch long by 1 inch wide bubble in the underside of the top. It's almost like the wood filler wasn't level then they put the black over it thinking no one would notice. I have contactedthe seller to get s replacement piece send sm waiting on a reply. There's also a inch diameter chip/dent in the same board at the back shown in pictures. That's the only things I can say bad about this dresser. And I think it's just 1 bad piece I was lucky to get lol.I am very happy with it though. It in very heavy when delivered. If I had to guess I'd say the box weighs 80lbs(36kg). It's protected very well in the box on the corners but make sure you don't scratch the black pieces when sorting out of the box. You'll need a small hammer to tap in the wood dowels and a Philips head(+) screw driver and a blanket to protect the wood from scratching on the floor. I assembled by myself and it took 2-2.5 hrs. 2 people could get this built in 1 hr no problem if one worked on the drawers while the other worked on the frame(less if using powered screwdriver). I do agree with other reviews about the waste of space between the back of the drawer and back of the dresser. There's about 4" of wasted space that the drawers could've used. The back of the dresser is wood not cardboard. The tiny screws used to screw in the drawers are cheap and strip easy. Metal tracks are nice rather then wood or plastic. Comes with a safety to attach to the wall for younger kids so it doesn't get pulled down. You CAN'T put water on top. It will blister. Not good for a fish tank of anything like that unless you get something to protect the wood. I'm planning on buying another for a different bedroom and have already bought the matching bedside table which comes in 2 weeks. This one shipped fast. Was shipped within 5 days even during a snowstorm when everything else was postponed.

It's not hard to assemble. But you need two persons for assembly, one person would find it difficult to assemble this piece of furniture.The pros are that once it is assembled, the drawer is big and spacious. Lots of room to put clothes and other personal items.It is also sturdy. It is kind of heavy so be sure to put felts on the bottom so as to slide it around the floor easier and ti avoid scratching the surface of your floors.I denitely recommend this product for anyone looking for a sturdy, and spacious drawer.
