Book for first time dog owners
I was disappointed that this book is not for Anatolian Shepherds specifically. It’s very misleading. Only the cover and a brief history as the first chapter is specific to Anatolians. The information in the book is very basic. Sit, stay, come, etc. Would be good for absolute beginners but not anyone who is an experienced dog owner (And if your not experienced you shouldn’t have a Anatolian).Despite that I read it and there were a few things that I was able to use. A word for the author would be to rearrange the structure. Potty training should be listed very first.

Not much here...
Wasn't impressed. If the author had put as much effort into specific advice as he did into trying to be witty, this very brief pamphlet might have been worthwhile.

To many attempts to distract with wit rather than adding substance to the text. Even novice dog owners and trainers are as well or more informed than the author.

Bad advice, not a good training guide for this breed
If you are an Anatolian owner........ do NOT follow the instructions in this book. Go to the breed clubs, ASDI or ASDCA and ask for reading suggestions. LGD dot org is a great website with a lot of useful information from people who actually have first hand experience with livestock guardian dogs. These dogs are not as domesticated and most breeds of "pet dogs" so you cannot train them as such. This is not a good book for training Anatolians. Waste of time and money.
