In Pensacola, the sand is white, the water is emerald, and they both reflect a massive amount of sun, so you get burned from above and beneath. The best answer: go to the beach before 9am or after 4pm. But kids surf camp is 8-noon, so we bought this fabulous face stick. With other sunblock (even the high quality zinc oxide stuff), we’d have to reapply every 30-60 minutes to not burn. This stuff lasted the entire 4 hours, wipeouts and all. It looks like heavy foundation, but that makes it easy to see if you missed a spot. Waterproof, long lasting, very effective, perfect face protection for water activities.

My girls have never gotten a sunburn thanks to this sunscreen. It is pretty thick but you can rub in so it's not really visible. For me, it's more important that they not burn and they never have. This is the only sunscreen I buy for their face - they are competitive swimmers so the water reflecting on their faces could be a problem - but this totally protects them.

Works very well but is very tiny but you don't need to use alot.

*** UPDATE April 2022. The product description lists the active ingredients to include Zinc and Titanium. It does not. I recently tried purchasing again (see below for previous review) hoping that these ingredients would be included. I find the misinformation regarding the ingredients unconscionable considering the implications on people's health. Last time I was too lazy to send it back - not this time.I have been using Headhunter facesticks and creams for over 10 years. They have always seemed to be excellent products. The active ingredients were good and the facestick cream would stay on during an entire 2 hour surf session. Unfortunately, in my recent order of a facestick (July 2020), they have changed the active ingredients. They no longer have any zinc and titanium oxide. Until they include the zinc and titanium oxide again I am going to look elsewhere. They still have the other active ingredients but I want the combined protection provided by mineral and chemical sun blockers.

Hands down the best sunscreen I’ve ever had! GAME CHANGER! Buy this for anyone and everyone you know that surfs.Also, the pigment looks intimidating, but trust me, it blends in well for great coverage and protection! A bunch of my friends have tried it, and it color matched to all of us.I have fair skin and almost always burn no matter how frequently I use “water-resistant/sport” sunscreens. I’ve tried them all. That was until this!!! Also check out the headhunter sunscreen chapstick!!!

My husband finally found something that keeps him from burning in the water..!But then we started finding the orange stains all over our clothes. They do not come out!! I’ve washed numerous times and stain stuff doesn’t touch it. Be careful, and if you have any tips to remove it let me know 😅

This sunscreen was recommended to me by my dermatologist cousin. It goes on very thick and does not seem to rub off while swimming. I have four young kids and was looking for something that would not need to be reapplied during our two hour swim trips and something that would not burn their faces. This sunscreen is THICK THICK! She recommended getting the colored one as opposed to the white because it is so thick and can be seen on your face. This sunscreen is great for the face but I would not recommend it for any other body parts because it would take a long time to cover because it is so thick.
