I needed a device to hold my rode go next to my camera for filming yoga videos. This works perfectly and I would buy again in a heartbeat if I needed another. The distance this device holds the speaker from the camera is perfect for my curly cord that connects my mic receiver to the camera. I try a few other options and this is the one I've kept because it's sturdy and the distance is so good. Setup is quick and easy and the base is nice and durable.

This is a decent cold shoe (no electronic communication) extender. Well designed and constructed.

My microphone shoe fits okay but it's not secure without a thumbscrew, so it slides around. Otherwise, the arm seems sturdy and fits fine on the tripod.
