This tarp is worth every penny
I am using this as a cover over a metal framed "car port", like the ones that come with a white plastic roof and side walls. For 3 years now, I have been trying to find a material that can be stretched over the metal frame, handles snow loads, without the grommets ripping out, and the material doesn't get sun damaged bad enough for it to rip. This tarp handles all of that. I put it on in summer and it's now December. The color hasn't faded and it's strong enough to handle using a push broom to sweep snow off and/or bumping the snow off from underneath. Not a single grommet has pulled from the tarp and I have this ratcheted down tight enough it sounds like a drum when tapped with finger. I have had multiple days of 30 mph winds and gusts up to 40 mph and nothing has torn or ripped anywhere. If I had bought this first, I could've saved my self about $300 in other tarps. I have no doubt I will be using this tarp for many years. Excellent product.

VERY POOR QUALITY and CUSTOMER SERVICE
PRODUCT QUALITY *** ZERO STARS ***I purchased this tarp to cover the gear on my roof-top basket. (See Photo) As you can see, I folded the tarp, enchilada style, rather than tie it down through the grommets or loops which I only tied with 1/8th inch para-cord to keep the tarp from flapping around. After the second use, I found that a grommet, its reinforcement and seam stitching had completely ripped-out and frayed (see pictures). There could not have been much stress on the grommet, yet it was enough to ruin it. There was also a hole-causing abrasion in the middle of the tarp where apparently it had rubbed over some piece of gear. The waterproofing did work well for the two uses I got out of it.CUSTOMER SERVICE CONTACT and RESPONSIVENESS *** FIVE STARS ***I used the company’s web-site to submit a claim for replacement. It was very easy to use with straight forward instructions and allowed multiple pictures to be submitted. It took about a week to get a text response asking for my shipping information. It included a contact name and phone number and stated that I could call or text at any time. The next day, another text stated that a replacement tarp was shipping that day and asked that I let them know when it arrived.CUSTOMER SERVICE FOLLOW-THROUGH *** ZERO STARS. ***After six weeks, the replacement tarp had not arrived. During this time, I had to initiate contact with the Customer Service contact several times and, despite being very very responsive, all that I ever got was a promise to check on the status of the shipment, and then no more information or no follow up until I sent another of many inquiries. At this point I gave up. I wrote a very direct and plainly written text to the company which in response they seemed to want to escalate the issue to satisfy me, to what end result I don’t know.IMPRESSIONThese seem to be good people acting out the role of doing a good job for their customer, but I don’t believe there was ever any intent to stand behind their product, so this, to me, is fraud.

extremely happy with product features
I just got this and covered my patio couch today, so cannot yet rate for wearability or water resistance but this was just a plain flat tarp and look at the fit I got over my couch. It has some weight to it but is still flexible enough to adjust as needed. No smell, and love the feature of the tabs below the grommets...I used those to finish up the bottom edge all the way around, so the wind could not lift it. The sides were gathered together using the grommets for strength. I used good parachute cord so it also would last. I live in the hottest part of Arizona and the sun gets really strong in the summer and we don't get much rain but when we do, it's heavy. I feel pretty good about getting my money out of it. It's plenty tough enough that my dog's claws can't break through; which is what happened to the original couch surface. He think's it's just for him and loves lounging on it. Stitching is strong, and edges are clean and even. Very pleased and will buy again when a durable tarp is needed.

Great tarps and terrific seller
Growing up in the 1950’s, I noticed the quality of my grandfather’s canvas tarps, and presumed I could not find anything so fine today. To my delight, the quality of White Duck Outdoors canvas tarps far exceeds what my grandfather counted on daily in his appliance sales and delivery business. The 18 oz. tarps I bought are a pleasure to own. They’re rugged and durable and water proof (witnessed this first day with my utility trailer). I especially like the high-quality, reinforced grommets. Earlier tarps I owned lost grommets from the first day of use. The ones from White Duck could survive a war, I think. In fact, the canvas of the tarps I bought from White Duck remind me of the heavy gauge canvas of my father’s WWII duffel bag which we still have and use. I am more than pleased with my purchase of these tarps and very happy with the responsiveness of the White Duck Outdoors employees who could not have been nicer to work with.

A very heavy tarp but with a mayor flaw!
We have utilized this tarp to cover a very old Sheepherder wagon, we utilize as a historic B&B. Unfortunately after the installation we have noticed at least 6 pinholes in the tarp, 3 or 4 being in the horizontal area of the wagon. We noticed the pin holes when the sun returned the next day obviously after a heavy nighttime rain. Water droplets did enter the wagon, wetting the bed and the AC unit. We then purchased some silicone sealant to seal all holes. Unfortunately the silicone is visible although we tried to apply the least amount possible to achieve water tightness. With a premium product such as this (and a premium price too), we would have not expected any such defects in the material. Because it took 2 people several hours to properly install and tighten the tarp to the frame and the holes were not detected until the next day, we have chosen not to return this product and live with the quite noticeable defects.
