Easy on hands
I have other pruners that have given me blisters when pruning grapevines. These cut so well that I use less pressure on each cut and the handles fit my hands well. That's important when pruning 6 hours a day.

Perfect except one important flaw, soft latch metal wears out.
I would absolutely give this a 5 star review to this pruner but for one important issue. I've been using a pair for several years. I'm not careful with them. I use them hard. They have held up to whatever I throw at them and show no significant signs of corrosion or excessive loosening. The fit and tolerance are excellent, the cushy grips are nice, as is the cushion between the handles that break the force after you cut through something, and they are very light. They are very ergonomic and feel way better to use than any other pruner I've used before. The blades fit well into tight spaces unlike my clunky old Felcos, yet I can force them through some pretty big stuff. I also love the quick release latch. Or I did until it started wearing out. The metal has worn enough just from opening and closing that they would often pop open and take some finesse to get to stay closed. They were often open in the sheath I made for them. I was able to file the latch piece back to be similar to the original shape, but it's just a matter of time till I have to make some kind of replacement piece. The solution is obvious enough. The latch needs to be a harder. I use mine quite a bit, but I'm no where near a professional level of use and they should hold up better than they have. Honestly, I like them enough to figure out something to deal with the latch issue. The price is right and I have no other complaints.UPDATE: 2024. I wore through the repaired latch ages ago and now the clippers are hard to keep closed. This is a fatal flaw. I have a youtube channel approaching 100k subscribers and would recommend these pruners regulary if Barnel would address this issue on what otherwise is a professional pruner. It's like building a ferrari and then putting volkswagen doors on it. I contacted Barnel twice about this issue and they didn't even respond. I just lost mine and ordered a different brand this time around. Too bad. Fix the issue and I'll buy them and recommend them.

Fits my hand perfectly
The best cutters I have ever owned. I have 100 rose bushes and this is my second pair.
