This seems to be reflective of a "transplant" defining the San Francisco ABCs. So if you are looking for an SF book that might showcase SF landmarks or things specific to the Bay Area, this is not the book to get. For example, for a San Franciscan, C could be Coit Tower and not cakes at SFMOMA. We also don't refer to it as "The" BART and wouldn't identify it as the letter Q (for Quick!). Not sure what V for Vintage Volvo has to do with San Francisco. Those are just some examples.

I bought this book (not on Amazon) as an impulse buy, and I was really disappointed when I got it. The author could have come up with such better words for letters, rather than using O - "Ouch! Hot noodles in Chinatown" or Q - "Quick, the BART!" Why wouldn't you just do B - "BART" instead of "Bay window plant collection"? So disappointed. The artwork is cute though, so I'll give them that, but would not recommend.
