Unbelievable. After all the product information noted that the inside diameter of the hose is 1/2," I get it and that might be true... but they don't tell you that the pressed on Brass Connector is only 3/8." Let's see you try to use this for anything useful, other than watering potted plants.

I really hope that this one will not tear up.******We loved this the whole 2 times we got to use it. There is a strange fitting within a fitting for the spray attachments. This is what popped off and when I put it back together it leaks terribly when the water is barely on, so if I turn the water up it will pop off again. We worked so hard to get this set up and now after 45 days, 2 uses, and over $230 we are back to square one. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED! I can't believe there is only a 30 day return policy. There is supposed to be a warranty with this, but since the product is conveniently no longer available, I can't find the warranty information anymore.

It was relatively easy to install but I am very disappointed in the unit. First, I turned on the water as the instructions said to and water was gushing from underneath the carrier. I unrolled the hose completely so I could see what was wrong. The hose was not secured to the connector and popped off. I had to use a standard hose clamp to repair. Then, when I tried to retract it, both with and without the water turned on, it would not retract completely, leaving about 20 feet of excess hose.For a $200+ hose reel, this is unacceptable and there is no excuse for this shoddy quality assurance.

I hung the reel on a pressure treated post and two days later I found the reel on the ground. The plastic bracket provided with the reel has a hook on it that the reel hangs on broke right off. Why would you not use metal instead of plastic. Considering the weight of the reel that has water in it and the fact that you are pulling the hose out of the reel is considerable force. I must say I am very disappointed.

The wall around the spigot was a 50-year old concrete wall. To install the mounting lugs, I first tried a masonry bit with a normal electric drill. Even after 10 minutes, it barely made a dent. A little research showed the job required a rotary hammer drill, which I did not own. I rented such a drill and the bit and used the base as a template to locate the holes as suggested. With the right tool, I made each hole in just a couple of minutes. The resulting mount is now level and secure. I like the fact that it can swing flush against the wall to either the left or right of the hinge.

First of all I bought this with the intention of using my 5/8 flexzilla hose as I like the design, but was concerned with the volume of water that this would flow. When I set it up I could tell that the hose is not a 5/8 hose but a 1/2” hose. No problem as I would be replacing it. When I just went to take it apart to replace the hose, it is not replaceable. The video clearly shows the hose being able to be replaced, but not the case. Misrepresented the product twice - no 5/8 hose and it is not replaceable.

I bought a less expensive unit then purchased this one for the front garden. I thought I would pay a little more with the thought that the hose looked easily replaceable on the unit. My main complaint is that the hose will not fully rewind. It leaves too much dangling out when you retract it. Just annoying. The less expensive different brand unit has worked perfectly since sitting it up. For the price of this product I would expect perfection out of the box. I would suggest going with different brand until quality is met for its price.

I chose this reel based on reviews on Amazon and YouTube. The item is very well built, was very easy to install, and works flawlessly. I love the feature that allows you to change the hose if needed. The hose that comes with the reel is pretty nice though. I would recommend this item.
