This tool is exactly what I was hoping for: sturdy, precision made, and easy to use. Before I ordered it, I was perplexed by the mixture of very good and very bad reviews on Amazon. I went ahead and ordered it because I thought a reputable manufacturer in Solingen would not make junk. The two cutting edges line up perfectly, with zero discernible offset, and the wobble-free precision pivot keeps them that way. There is a spring mechanism attached to one of the two handles. When you flip it forward, a tiny wheel on its end rolls against the opposite handle to cause the jaws to open when you relax your squeeze. You flip the mechanism backward if you do not want this spring action, or when you put it in its storage pouch. The springs in other brands of nippers can not be disengaged in this way.

Crushed more than cuts. No better than my rusting Revlon toe nail clipper that I'm trying to replace. When I held the nippers up to the light it was apparent that the blades did not meet in the center of the cutting area. It was very easy to see which says a lot about (lack of) quality control. I expect a lot more from a $30 stainless steel nipper that is supposedly made in Germany.

The same clippers my podiatrist uses, these are quality made and cut through the thickness of a needed pedicure. look no further.

When the cutting blades are pressed firmly together I could see light where they did not meet. They are not a precision instruement. Instead of 'snip' it was 'crunch'. I have bought perhaps a hundred items through Amazon, and returned 5, I think. I buy with confidence because of Amazon's easy return policy.

I bought these for my backpacking kit.yes they add some extra weight, but they are slightly shorter handled so they work perfectly. If you have ever been in the backwoods and have had a hangnail or a broken nail and tried to use a big knife to try and fix it, well, you would understand why a bit of extra weight is worth more than a few dollars.Love these and they have a home in my backpack and also travel bag.Excellent Product

It took quite a bit of force to cut through the nail of my large toe, as the blades are not sharp enough. I am a male with fairly strong hands. My cheap pocket toe nail clipper cuts twice as well. No where on the nipper itself does it say "Made in Germany", but it can be found on the packaging. I returned it.

Well-made. Perfectly engineered. Sharp blades. Excellent cutting quality. Superb surgical quality steel. Easy to use. Cutting of fingernails very easy. I would recommend a larger one for toenails. INOX has the best quality nail clippers I have ever owned. I highly recommend this product.
