Great product but poor customer service
I say this heavy heart. . Opt 7 makes a great product. But there customer service sucks. My light bar show up with the box open hex mounting screws missing. Contact 0pt 7. 4 days later I get a email : I'm sorry to hear that you are having some difficulties with your order. Unfortunately, We do not have replacement Allen screws to send out. You have 2 options available. We can initiate a return for refund. Or, you can go to the local hardware store and get replacement Allen screws there and we can offer you a partial discount for your order. Please let us know how you wish to proceed. I sent them an email back wanting the size and pitch of the screw. And got this. Thank you for the update. Unfortunately, we do not know the exact screw size. What you can do is, take a couple to try and thread it into the holes and see which ones fit. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please let us know if you have anymore questions. Mounted the light bar after some difficulties of finding the right screws. It looks great. Very well made. The amount of light it puts out is awesome! I was a really big fan of opt 7. I have their flux LED headlights, a 32” light bar, pod fog lights an tail lights This is my 2nd time dealing with their poor customer service. First time I was sent the wrong warranty replace led bulb. It took me over 2 months to get the correct bulb Actually had to contact paypal to make them send me the correct replacement bulb. You be the judge. As much money as I've spent with opt 7. I think I will spend my money somewhere else now.

Two weeks in, very happy!
Extremely impressed with the amount of light this thing throws. I installed this on my 2012 wrangler JK with a two 2000 lumen windshield lights. This light has the perfect combination of flood and spot, the spot is apparent but not very harsh, and there is an incredible amount of flood. so far i have been through a few rain storms and no sign of condensation. i recommend spending the extra money over some of the "cheaper" light bars on amazon, most of them show a bar with allen screws every 3 inches, but upon arrival don't actually have them. This bar DOES include allen screws every few inches, before i installed i torqued each screw a little tighter (about 1/2 turn). theirs no way to explain how bright it is, its truly breathtaking every time i put it on. also it is a very white light.I plan on updating this review if i run into any issues in the future, if i haven't updated it that means im still very happy.

I pity the next person who tries to cut me off on the highway...
Finally got some help lifting the bar into place between the Rough Country Jeep JK Light Brackets.Think of it as putting up your flat screen TV, you need 2 people for about 5 minutes then you can do the rest on your own. Was told by OPT7 that there were no installation instructions, the light should be installed by "professionals", and they referred me to YouTube to find a video if I wanted to install it myself. Someone from OPT7 followed up with a helpful wiring diagram, which is what I needed, and I used that, along with a YouTube video by AdventureDex.Only real complaint: The curved bar means the connectors on the end of the bar are not in a straight line, they are instead angled. The light brackets are designed for a straight bar, not a curved bar. I would imagine most brackets are designed for straight bars so it would probably be a good idea for OPT7 to redesign the ends of the bar to accommodate most of the mounting brackets on the market today by angling the ends of the bar and the screw hole to emulate those features on a straight light bar.The power cable is kind of fat and difficult to conceal behind a mounting bracket as well.Other than that, bright? OMG. Harness wiring was easy..And the noise factor when driving at high speeds, that's a trade-off you will need to decide if you are willing to accept.

What I know after buying this product
Pros:The light output is impressive to behold.Light bar looks great.Construction quality feels and appears great.Time will tell. If water stays out of it and the vibration does not kill the LEDS or the LEDS suffer from early burn out can only be found out after extensive road testing.Cons:The light bar whistles at 35 mph or greater. This is to be expected but still annoying none the less. What I can tell you if your shopping for a 50 inch led light bar I believe this is the best performing bar out there for its price. There are far cheaper light bars and I am sure you will get what you pay for. After lighting this thing up I could not see how anyone could justify paying 1300 or more for one of these light bars. The only thing I would warn you about is the optional wiring harness that you can purchase for this product. Their harness is awesome for light bars under 50 inch but the current draw is to high for 14 AWG wire. I would recommend you design one yourself or buy one from another manufacturer because regardless of the price it saves a lot of time of having to run around to buy everything then assemble.

Tremendous light output but noise tradeoffs...
Great product, especially when you consider the cost is 1/5th the price of a similar Rigid product. My only complaint, and I didn't take away any stars for this because it seems ALL light bars have this issue to one degree or another, is wind noise. Whether it's a roof rack or a 50" straight, wind deflecting light bar, it's going to effect aerodynamics and therefore produce buffering. Due to the mounting location above the Jeep windshield, wind funnels between the lightbar and w/s - creating noise. I've managed to mitigate the problem through trial and error, but it still produces buffeting - and I've come to the conclusion that it always will just based on the shape. It would be nice if the face of the light had a bullet-shaped plexiglass cover that made it more aerodynamic - maybe future ones will. But for now, if you know going in that it WILL make noise, you cannot beat the unbelievable light output from this lightbar!
