Awakening of S. H. s.h.figuarts star wars / force Obi-Wan Kenobi

Ok, so I've gotten all of the Star Wars S.H. Figuarts figures and have reviewed them all, they're fantastic. With each figure release there seems to be an improvement with articulation, accessories and overall sculpt. I cannot wait to get more figures from this line, from any of the Episodes. I'm not a huge prequel fan but I am loving the figures released by Bandai's Figuarts line for all the Star Wars films (though they haven't released any figures yet from Revenge of the Sith or Empire Strikes Back, A New Hope figures will be out later this year).Articulation is on par with the other figures released in this line. The shoulder joints are out of sight, almost literally. The Jedi tunic help hides the vertical and horizontal butterfly joints, like the other figures in this line you can get Obi Wan into basically any pose you want. For accessories you'll get fists L/R, Lightsaber holding hands L/R, action or Force Push hands L/R, Force maneuver hand R, and a Soresu fighting style hand L. You also get an unlit saber hilt that pegs into Obi Wan Kenobi's belt, his blue lightsaber and Qui Gon Jinn's green lightsaber. Also included is another head, an action face Obi Wan, which is a much better head sculpt and has a better likeness to Ewan McGregor. The printing process used to paint the faces on the figures is getting better, if you look close enough you can even see the moles on his cheek and forehead just like in real life, for a figure this small it's pretty amazing. This is something you could only accomplish using this UV printing process. It's really impressive and I can't wait to see this technique used by more action figure manufacturers.You don't have to be a prequel fan to enjoy this figure, you don't even have to be a Star Wars fan to appreciate this, it's just amazing on so many levels. In this scale, for this price, you just can't beat this level of engineering and and quality for an action figure. This line gets better and better and I'm really excited to see what other characters get released this year. Bandai's S.H. Figuarts Obi Wan Kenobi comes FULLY APPROVED.

Was so happy with this figure until I got to the ankles. Inner ankle has too much plastic.

SH Figuarts continues to amaze and astound me. While most people love their $300++ Hottoys 12" figures, I prefer the mid sized 6 to 7" figures. The only problem with these have either been the poor face sculpts, or the horrible paint apps. SH out of Japan does an incredible job with their figures. Sure they cost more than twice the price of your regular Hasbro Black Series figures (which are already light years ahead of the figures of old) but they are totally worth the price. This Phantom Menace Obi Wan is amazingly detailed and articulated. The likeness to Ewan McGregor is uncanny. Wonder how they captured his likeness so well. Its like a mini wax figure from Madame Tussauds herself!!! Plus this figure comes with an extra head, as well as different hands for posing. My only gripe is that it takes a while to unplug and replug the interchangeable hands. Other than that its perfect. This is only my second SH figure, but I am already hooked. The figure photographs very well and I can forsee many great recreated "photo moments" with this figure.

While the white of the eyes seem to be fleshed colored and the hair is frosted with gold paint, it is a beautiful figure that is easy to pose. I wish it came with a stand for the figure though - he can't stand and pose at the same time unless propped up against something.

doesn’t necessarily feel cheap. the face is done incredibly so well and good. IT REALLY DOES LOOK LIKE EWAN MCGREGOR 100%.

SH figurarts has become my go to makers for action figure/toys. I was all the way play arts Kai before but items became bulkier and quality downslided. This is the very best Obi figure out there. Joints feel loose and some pop off easily but connects and holds stance very well. I still have fingers crossed for a Qui Gon Jin character. Please make one. I dropped Obi about four feet and my luck it broke Qui Gon light saber. So I'm buying another now as I write this review. It's that impressive.Ahh new figures' foot falls off very easily. Definitely an annoyance and I believe limited to this one action figure. On a side note when I ordered this Obi wan he was 14 $ more expensive. What gives? Be nice to have Amazon give money back to me if they drop price literally as I place order look back to continue shopping and its 8 $ cheaper then a week later it's even cheaper. I don't know maybe that's asking too much but isn't paying too much too much already? Leave a comment let's figure this out together.

Love this figure!!! Its only the 3rd figuarts ive owned and i couldnt be happier. Great sculpt. Great paint. Great poseability. Easily one of the best figures in my collection. If youre on the fence about this figure go ahead and buy it

Esta figura tiene una gran calidad en sus acabados. Como todo lo que hace esta marca de Bandai. Este tipo de figuras es para coleccionistas definitivamente y no para jugar. Lo recomiendo 100%
