TildaLegendary Rice Steamed Basmati, Pure, 8.5 Ounce (Pack of 6)

I've bought and tried a few types of pre-cooked rice, but this was the first Basmati pre-cooked rice I've tried. I frequently order the Minley steamed brown organic rice to have on hand for lunches when I don't have a chance to cook rice over the stove. I will pre-cook some chopped and seasoned chicken, keeping it in the refrigerator. Then for lunches I heat both the chicken and the rice up in the microwave and stir together.While the brown rice has a little less fat and a little more fiber, this Basmati rice tastes really good. Better than my usual microwave brown rice. The Basmati rice is light and fluffy, with long grains and a very light flavor. This one is a new favorite and I'm planning on buying a pack of their brown rice to try out after I've finished my package of Basmati.Update 11/1/2016: I enjoyed this rice so much I've bought several more boxes of it!

Very nice rice to have on hand, especially during the winter months when one wants a quick meal without having to steam rice. Great to have on hand...just as nice as restaurant rice and so quick to heat and then eat. Takes well to any added ingredients for a full meal.

I expected this to be at least decent because I've been buying Tilda for years. But this turns out almost as well as the normal cook on the stove variety and in a lot less time. There are times when the stovetop turns out absolutely perfect rice that no steam-in-the-bag can touch but for 2 minutes the precooked Tilda is pretty darn good. Looking forward to see how well they do on brown rice.

Purchased for health conscious college student for convenient after-hours meals. Convenience is 5 stars, taste is 2-3 stars, expense brings it down a bit. Paired okay with Madras Lentils but otherwise just mediocre and expensive rice.

Very easy to make. Good quality product.

I love having this product on hand, it cooks in 90 seconds, is delicious, the grains do not clump together, it’s hard to believe you can have such perfect rice every time, in very little time!
