Like many popular cocktails, the origins of the margarita are clouded in mystery. The most common story comes from a tiny bar in Juarez, Mexico. As the story goes, a bartender named Pancho Morales came up with it while trying to mix something called a magnolia. Having no clue what goes in to a magnolia, he began to wing it, bottles, limes and ice - all flying around - until he ended up with his own refreshing concoction that he then named the Margarita.
