Great Product.

I looked for just the right curio for over a year. Nearly everything was either too traditional or too contemporary. I finally came across this curio online, and I ended up buying two of them, on special order, from a local furniture store. I placed them next to each other, flush, so it looks like one very large curio: nice visual impact, especially against a large, tall wall. I love the style and size -- LOTS of display space! -- and they are made well. The drawer at the bottom is useful for things like table linens, and other items you don't necessarily want to display. I don't like halogen bulbs (too hot) so I replaced them with LEDs (after checking with the manufacturer to be sure it was safe to do so). I also didn't like the mirrored backs, so I had linen-covered mat board cut to size at the local picture framer (two pieces per curio: one top and one bottom) and placed them inside covering the mirrored backs. I added bits of museum putty to the backs of the board to hold the corners in place, then installed the glass shelves which keep the boards nice and flat against the back. The finished product is stunning!The curio is tall, and not very deep, so I do recommend securing it to the wall to prevent tipping. It came with plastic safety straps and screws, which would be better than nothing, but I had a professional attach the curios to the wall using heavy-duty metal straps.(I gave it four stars because I didn't like the mirrored back.)
