Northwest River Supply Green Knife

After loosing a knife kept on the outside of my pfd, I decided to switch to carrying it inside. Besides making it harder to lose, there is the added safety value of one potential entanglement attached to my body. This is a safety trade-off as accessing this knife is more difficult. But in 20+ years of boating, I've only used my knife to open bear bottles (knock on wood). So it seems like a reasonable decision. Furthermore, it's much harder to access a knife when it's on the bottom of the river.As for the knife, it is small and compact. The profile is smaller than the picture suggest which means less bulk. It fits perfectly in the clamshell pocket of my Astral Green jacket. It appears well made showin no sign of rust after multiple river trips and being kept in my damp life-jacket. Blunt tip, serrated edge, and a bottle opener -everything you need in a river knife.
