Very Pleased . . . .
It is working wonderfully for my husband who had rotator cuff surgery last week. The sling they sent him home with from the hospital was very poorly made and uncomfortable for him to wear. When I could not find one in the area to purchase, I went to my old backup - Amazon - and thank goodness. I asked for it express and he has been very pleased with it. It is more comfortable with the suspender type straps. The only problem is that the strap for around his body was way too small. You should make different sizes for larger people too.

This is the third sling I tried for a torn rotator cuff, and the third time is the charm! The other two slings went around my neck to support my arm, and were uncomfortable, not very padded (in the neck area) and made my neck hurt. I bought this sling from One Planet, and it was worth every penny! The sling goes over both shoulders for support, thus diversifying the support over a larger area, rather than limiting the support to one area on the neck. The sling is comfortable, well padded (the entire sling feels like memory foam) and works to help with the pain.Additionally, this sling comes with a shoulder stabilizer, which I didn't know I needed, but which is wonderful. The stabilizer keeps my arm close to my side, thus eliminating the shoulder movements which cause pain and could intensify the injury.GREAT sling. Shipping was quick and I am so glad I purchased this item.

One sling, five surgeries, five-star rating!
For anyone out there who requires support and/or immobilization for an upper extremity, I highly recommend this product. I speak from the experience of 5 different surgeries on arms and shoulders. My first was given to me by an orthopaedic surgeon for both support and immobilization following shoulder surgery. I liked it so much that I used it for all problems involving arm or shoulder joints until I wore it completely out. It works equally well on either the right or left side. Once in place it stays in place without the constant slipping and readjusting of the single-strap style of sling and can be used with or without the immobilizing swath, depending on the problem. Your shoulders will thank you, too, because it completely eliminates the discomfort of the weight pulling on the supporting shoulder. Try it....it's the best thing going!

The only sling that actually immobolizes your shoulder as it should.
Broke my shoulder and the emergency room gave me an almost identical sling but of lower quality. If you have a broken shoulder you want to immobilize it, not just put your arm in a sling. This product actually immobolizes as it uses the band that wraps around your body. it works very well and is much more comfortable than the one provided by the hospital. I wrap my forearm in a cotton bandanna and it helps keep my arm even cooler. I've washed the product in cool/gentle cycle about 4 or 5 times now and it's still held up very well. This was the only sling I could find that had the immobolizer band (this is the only one that seems to work!). Buy it.. it works! A lot of the other slings stretch and won't adjust properly. This one has plenty of adjustment and I'm about 5'9 205 lbs

Does the job well.
At first I thought this was much too small. But once I figured out how to adjust the straps, it fit perfectly. The band that goes around the body is velcroed to the front of the sling. I was able to put on and adjust the whole thing by myself. It immobilizes the shoulder very well. The only thing I could wish is that it exposed more of the hand, to make it easier to manipulate things.

More comfortable than expected
Wish I could give it ten stars based on how it compares to other slings and braces I tried. More comfortable than expected, quality material, superior support and stabilization. I have a class 3 AC joint separation, and the first few braces I bought pushed the shoulder down (exacerbating my problem). The nicest single-strap slings (even with the belt-in-place hip pad) still allowed too much motion and were annoying because of pulling on one side. Double straps with the immobilizer wrap is so much better all around.

Be aware
I am a occupational therapist and I recently fractured my collarbone I ordered the sling to immobilize it and place it in the proper position. My problem with this lien is that the webbing that touches my neck has rough spots that cause irritation. Not all the webbing has rough spots just random places. And this can be very annoying when you are wearing your sling for 24 hours a day. I do not think that two foam pieces added to the straps that go over your neck would cost you much more to include in the purchase of this sling to improve the comfort of wearing this item for 24 hours a day.

Straps are too short for a man who wears a 44R coat
The straps are too short by at least 6 to 12 inches. I wear a 44R jacket - that's the normal size for a US man. I've run the straps out to their maximum extension. If I cross the straps across the back there simply is not enough length to place the sling at any level that is comfortable. Instead the sling (and my arm inside) ends up rather closer to my chin than to my navel. That compresses my arm into my shoulder. In other words it increases, rather than reduces, the stress on my shoulder. If I don't cross the straps across the back then I can get the sling to a reasonable position, but then the sling slides off my shoulders.Am I doing something wrong? The only instructions are the photos and comments here.As it stands, the very high position of the sling caused by the short straps is hurting me more than it is helping; I'm in more pain after wearing it than without.I would also add my agreement with those who say that the straps are rather harsh if they happen to rub against skin.Unless someone shows me how to get the sling at the right height without it falling off every few minutes I'll be sending this back.

No instructions!!!
I expected more, given the rave reviews. Firstly, it's incredibly disappointing and ridiculous that there are no instructions! Thank you to the reviewer on Amazon.com who gives instructions. Further, with a painful shoulder/arm injury, it's impossible to put on without help - this isn't explained in the ad or the reviews. The sling quality is ok, but the straps could be comfier if wider and padded. It's certainly not the wonder product I expected from the reviews. A clip on each strap to allow for easy removal would be much better and far more practical.Further, if you have big boobs, even on the widest settings, it's a tight fit. Disappointed.

Excellent
I recently went on a surfing trip and realised before hand that my regular sling wouldn't provide enough stability. So after searching I came across this. It pretty much immobilised my arm and prevented me from expierencing any additional pay. Even with being in the sea the strapping held. Would definitely recommend this.

The fabric is fine but no use to me as the band across ...
No instructions how to use it included. Product designed to fit only very slim people. The fabric is fine but no use to me as the band across the body is far too short. The maker should either supply different sizes or at least warn about the maximum length of the band.

could be so much better..
Its a well made quality item but a nightmare to put on especially if you got ripped shoulder muscle like i have. If your struggling to lift your arm then think twice. Also if your a big frame like me 5'11" and 16 stone then it will be uncomfortable fit.
