I am a huge fan of the Bread Dome
I got a red bread dome and really liked it. Unfortunately a family member dropped the lid and it broke. However the company replaced the lid at no charge -- very impressed by their customer service. While I was waiting for it, I went ahead and ordered a second bread dome, in green, because I really missed mine! In the photo the round loaf on the left was baked in a Bread Dome and the one on the right in an oval Le Creuset dutch oven. I prefer the round shape of the loaves made in the dome and they definitely rise higher. It is also so much lighter that, if you have any joint or back issues, it is way easier to use, clean, etc. than an enameled or cast iron baking dish. The only caveat I have is that you should buy a set of silicon or similar oven gloves that allow you the dexterity to easily grasp the small circular lid handle in the center of the lid. I usually use the lid handle to open the lid, then grab one edge of the lid when moving it just to be on the safe side. The gloves I bought on Amazon that I'm happy with for this purpose are listed as Extra Long Professional Silicone Oven Mitts with Quilted Liner, Heat Resistant Oven Gloves by EFAGL (I have no connection to that company).
