I purchased this to grow grass for a classroom project and it worked great. I then used the remainder in my yard and was again impressed. The grass grew in quickly and thickly which made my yard look better and me much happier.

I bought this seed originally for growing mushroom sclerotia, and it ddn't work very well at all. But then I threw it on dog-damaged bare spots in the front yard, and the grass grew pretty spectacularly.

Well I thought this grass would do good but after 2 weeks... nothing has sprouted. I even planted some in a pot AND tried a pregermination in water...nothin. Just go to your local Lowes, Home depot or Google places near you and find some good quality seeds.

Honestly, I don't know if pre-germination made a difference or not, but this is some of the best germinating seed that I have used. Pre-germination for me: put all of the seed in an old sock. Sock the sock in room temperature water. Change the water every 8-12 hours. Soak for a grand total of 36-48 hours. Sow the seed. Watch it grow.

Update: spring 2024. Tried some Pennington and it didn't germinate at all! Had some of this left over and it is full and growing! I couldn't find my regular brand of perennial ryegrass for fill ins during the summer. I have dogs, ergo I have yellow spots and occasional skid marks than need filling in. This is working well, grows to fill in about 2 weeks. This is the best I can get since mayberry sold out.

If you have pets and or children, please always buy untreated seed like the seed I bought from this company. I love my local Home Depot and Ace, however after speaking with their garden employees, they confirmed all the seed they carry is treated. In my opinion and after research and experience, treated seeds may cause health issues for your pets. Also I noticed after eliminating old grass to plant the seed, butterflies and hummingbirds are abundant. My fig tree is going crazy and my avocado tree has baby avocados starting.I will add updates to my review once the seed has started sprouting. Super excited I found this seed company. These small changes in your environment can make a huge difference.

These grass seed are exactly what I needed, after spending countless hours of reading reviews of various grass seeds these did not let me down! I was actually extremely impressed with the significant, and speedy growth I noticed. I could not be anymore satisfied!

Seeds look good but I haven’t planted yet.That’s what counts.
