Nice kit, real glass!
Turns out, I did not need this. The desolder station must have had it's design changed because the one I got already had the glass tube and not plastic. I had read reviews that said my model came with a plastic tube and not glass. They were wrong. My unit came with this same kit already installed. I am glad I bought this because I will eventually need it at the rate I am going.

I ordered this with the Desoldering Station, but as it turned out, I didn't really need to. The newer model ZD-985 comes with a glass tube instead of the plastic ones the earlier models came with. At least I have a spare if it should get broken somehow.

This is a great product
This product works perfectly and has been keeping my desoldering station working very well. The clear tube is glass not plastic so the solder does not ruin it. Warning.....Do not drop that glass tube when cleaning it out.

A little work will save you a lot.
After breaking the glass tube when I was being to clean it I found that it's better to take the screws out of the side of the gun when cleaning.

Change the filter and cleaning the gun chamber a nightmare . It needs more room to place back the glass cilinder.
