Rampage!
I bought this for the aesthetics, mainly, and the game is fantastic. I even got my partner, who doesn't usually play tabletop games, to play this with me. Games are a decent length, the materials used make it feel very premium, it's really nice to look at.I'd highly recommend the game and this version if it's just the base game you're after. Looking at other expansions, they'll work, but the artwork won't match.

A great upgraded version of a great group game
The original game is great and this version upgraded the components is done really well. There are also some additional rules that are good (and optional) but the standout for me was the cool 'dark' design. Is it worth the money? It doesn't add much if you already have the game but I'm very happy paying a bit more for this version.

A nice dark twist
If you have previously played King of Tokyo or if you have not. Then I would recommend purchasing a version of this game. The main differences between this version and the normal copies, is the obvious artwork, in addition to this, the energy cubes are in the form of a lightening bolt, a nice touch. I think both of these aspects are great, the original has its charm. However those that like things a little darker, then this version is for you. There is a new additional player in game bonus to aim for during this game, which adds a new dimension to the game. That gives new powers to monsters, causing a more varied game play by players. An easy game to learn to play, no two games are the same, a great for families.

Really cool aesthetic and gameplay additions!
I LOVE the dark aesthetic. It makes the game seem so much cooler. The extra “viciousness track” is a great addition to the base rules as well. The only downside is that while the other sets and expansions are technically compatible, I won’t be mixing them in as the art won’t jive.

What a Nice Game for Families and Friends Alike
Okay, I will start by saying I personally own around 100 board games. I love them almost as much as I do video/computer games. I like really complex ones and light ones that you can play while socializing the entire time. This game was given as a gift to my 11 year old nephew. Here's some highlights of what is great about this game.1. The components are not so plentiful they are overwhelming, but they're bright, unique and fun. The cards could've used just a smidge more in terms of their quality, but they're not really shuffled or anything so they'll last.2. Complexity, it's fairly easy. My nephew does fine and my mom who can barely focused is mostly there. There is a lot of dice rolling which some will hate, but it's more of a keep rolling yahtzee feel than a one and you just lost your turn Settlers feel.3. Competitiveness - Yes, it's a competitive game. While it's possible to target someone specifically, it's not really designed in a way that more people are going to want to try and win by defeating everyone instead of getting points. Also, how easily you are defeated, and remove form the game, is more often up to decisions you make that put you at risk and not what others are doing.4. Fast - Turns are fast. The game itself is relatively fast. You start with rolling, make decisions on that and use cards you should be familiar with not to have study over and over again. You made that decision when you bought it.5. Cards are where the complexity is. I mean I think a 6 year old could understand the basic mechanics of this game. The issue is going to be reading and understanding the benefits of the cards and the abilities you can get.6. The dice are fun. I am not the kind of person to fork out a ton of money on Dispel Dice, but I do appreciate some neat looking dice now and then. These are a fun and simple, kind of like Heroquest.Overall, this is a fun game that doesn't take a lot of space to play, can potentially appeal across generations due to the Yahtzee meets Monsters feel, and is just great fun to had. If someone is disappointed they lost.. play again. You'll have time. It goes quick!

Eines der besten Würfelspiele. Einfache Regeln, schnelle Runden, jede anders dann die vorherige. Einfach Klasse. Kniffel auf Steroiden.

Perfect game for children and adults
King of Tokyo dark edition has beautiful, sturdy components and is an overall fun and easy game to play. I like this edition better because it has the wickedness tiles which makes the game more interesting. It’s a short game, taking only about 20-30 minutes per game. Great game.
