Practical and economical support for C-section recovery
I purchased this band to help with my recovery from a C-section in September. I did a bit of research on the various bands available and decided to get this one. I was looking for a band that would give me abdominal support, especially during that first week or so after surgery, and this band did exactly that. Here are the pros and cons. Pros: first, the fabric is very breathable- I spent my last trimester during the peak of summer, and the last thing I wanted was a hot sweaty band wrapped around my abdomen during my recovery. This band never made me feel overheated or sweaty. The second pro is that this band is adjustable, so as the postpartum swelling subsided I was able to adjust this band accordingly. I ordered an XL because I was massive by the end of my pregnancy, and now, 3 months later, I could probably go with a Medium. So if you're ordering this band for C-section and/or postpartum recovery, I recommend ordering a size that is as close to your current, pregnant size- there is LOTS of adjustment room. The third pro is that this band provided firm yet comfortable pressure and support on my abdomen. One of the things I was told to do after my C-section is to be sure to apply light pressure to the incision area when you laugh, cough or sneeze, and this band applied gentle pressure through the elastic fabric and firmer abdominal panel (the panel doesn't have any boning or wire in it, which is also nice). I wore this band daily for about 7 days after surgery (just during the day- I didn't sleep with it on) and never felt any discomfort. I continued to wear the band off and on for about another week or so. And the final pro is the price! This band was very economically proved compared to some of the other "belly bands" that are marketed for postpartum use. The cons: the most glaring con is that you can see this band under your clothing unless you're wearing a loose-fitting top. The band has a Velcro strip that tended to bulge out a little when I wore it. Personally, I wasn't too concerned about that so that didn't matter to me but it may matter to you! The only other con I can think of is that this band doesn't have any contouring at the waist, so it doesn't exactly flatter your figure. But again, I was more concerned with maintaining my health and recovering quickly so I could care for my wonderful baby than I was with making a fashion statement! All in all, I would highly recommend this band as a practical, economical aid in C-section recovery.

Is what it is...
I didn't have high hopes for this product based on the reviews. I was looking for abdominal support for running and playing sports after the delivery of my first baby. I got this 7 weeks postpartum and I'm in good shape and close to my pre pregnancy size, so I wasn't necessarily looking for tummy flattening capability. What it is (PROS):1. Pretty good support. I feel like my abdominal muscles are well supported when I put it on and run. This alone is enough for me.2. Affordable. $25 is worth it for the abdominal support!3. Well made. I haven't had it very long but it seems like it will last a while. What it's not (CONS):1. Comfortable. It's kind of itchy and doesn't stay as low as I would like. I would not wear this all day or even for more than a workout. It's quite hot here too, and the binder makes it hotter. I'm also not sure it will feel right playing sports. But I'm also not sure it's possible to make an abdominal supporting belt that IS comfortable.2. Attractive. You cannot wear it under your cocktail dress or anything form fitting.3. Sized appropriately... I measured my waist (34") and got a small based on the info in another review:small: up to 34"medium: up to 38"large: up to 46"x-large: up to 55"xx-large: up to 64"But really, if I were much smaller than 34", the binder would be useless. I definitely have it almost as tight as it goes, and there's enough velcro that it would fit a much bigger waist than mine.

finally something that is actually worth the $$$ i paid!
i've bought the baboosh baby "taut" by mom of 4 brooke burke...i've bought the cheapy $10 neoprene waist belts from wal-mart and target...they all kind of suck. the "tauts" by brooke was $65 and i was less than impressed. there was some compression, but the part where it velcros on overlaps a bit either on the top or on the bottom and chafes your skin...i put a shirt on and it was very obvious! so far, not happy with any of the products i have tried, and trust me, i have tried a LOT of different brands!i have come to the conclusion that you need two different types of waist compressors/slimming belts. one for exercise, where there is no compression but lots of heat so you can sweat it off, and the other for daily wear where there is actual compression going on to hold you in and support your back.THIS PRODUCT IS GREAT FOR DAILY WEAR TO HOLD THAT LITTLE BIT OF GUT IN AND GIVE YOUR ACHY BACK SOME RELIEF!i have just opened this and put it on, and WOW i can actually feel the compression. i can breathe comfortably, i am sitting down, and it feels really good! this is one great product! the price is fair, it is pretty durable (so far i think) i would not work out in this, but i will wear this under my clothes daily. i am not skinny nor fat, pretty average i think, and a small fits pretty well. if you get this, i would size down. i normally wear medium or large and this small fits very comfortably.it is directly on my skin and i do not feel any chafing at all. yay!one thing. it IS noticable under a tight shirt. but not a big deal as it gives me what i really wanted, which was support for my achy back and a little help with the unflat belly department! super super happy with this purchase =)

A bit disappointed.
Disappointing.Although it is a good cool material far better than others I've tried. The problem is for me it rolls up.It would be great if it contained stays up the back to stop it rolling. It would have been better if it was a little bit longer .I have a abdominal hernia that is quite high up.because this product is short I feel like I'm pulling it up and down to get it into the right place.Shame as the material is the most comfortable.

it’s only one big flap not DOUBLE flaps like it shows
First off I followed the label for sizing and ordered a xl and it was way to big so I sent it back and ordered a large and its sizing is very small! it’s only one big flap not DOUBLE flaps like it shows ! I would not recommend this at all ! The ad is false and misleading . I’ll be sending this one back
