ESPRIT DU SEL Grey Salt, 17.6 ounces

If you've never tried this salt it's amazing! I had been looking for awhile and so glad I got it again

I cook with low sodium and wait until food is done to add most of this salt. This salt adds an amazing flavor to food. The large crystal melt into hot dishes. This salt made my pest explode with with flavor.

A good alternative to Maldon - totally different textures but similar pop of flavor. Price way higher than a few years ago, but it’s really long lasting since you can sprinkle exactly the number of crystals you want

It looks like there is a leaf and a worm in there… I will not be using it and wish I could return 🤢

I'm a cook, and I love seasonings. I researched sea salts and tried several, and this was hands-down my favorite, beating out even the famous Fleur Du Sel. You might read some comments that says it's too moist to grind; nonsense, I keep mine in a Trader Joe's grinder spice bottle, and it does fine. I use Esprit Du Sel, not so much at the beginning of cooking, but at the very end, where it's marvelous medley of flavors can shine. I highly recommend it, and this larger bottle is a great value. This source also ships promptly and well.

This is a very nice, large grain, gray sea salt. It has nice flavor, a beautiful color, and some residual moisture. It is a larger grain, so it isn't for every use, and the grains aren't quite big enough for a grinder (and it's too wet for that anyway). But, stirred into a dish as it's cooking where it gets a chance to dissolve, this salt is great.

I have purchased this in the past and had no issues. This purchase, however, arrived without the lid on, and the Amazon app says I can't return it or get a refund.

This is one of the always-have salts in our cabinet (we usually keep a half-dozen or so different salts). It's great as a finishing salt for pasta and certain other dishes. The coarse, relatively hard grains hold their shape and texture, for when you want salt to be kind of an accent distinct from the rest of the dish.
