The product works really well, my only issues are the build as not the easiest to add the ice packs and it is made with cheap products for the amount of money you pay for it.Pros:- Works well when using a barrier like a towel around your neck and your clothes.Cons:- Instead of holes on the side that you use the ice pack just add more felt, the holes get the ice pack stuck each time you try to add it to the pack.- The heavy velcro gets stuck to the holes as well which starts to damage the product. The felt on both sides would be good as you have to use a barrier anyways when you use this product or you will get ice burn.- Cheap materials for the price they are asking. It is an ice cube pack with felt on one side and mesh holes on the other.Would I suggest this:- Yes and No - depends on what you need. I wanted something that would cover my shoulders and neck which this does nicely. If you only have one area to ice I would look else where as there are cheaper options / better build quality.

The neck part is a bit chokey (and I have a small neck) but otherwise this is great and a similar product was really hard to find. A bit pricey, but construction seems decent. I have chronic swelling of my upper back and neck and wear this both when I'm in pain and as a preventative measure to discourage inflammation. Definitely works. Feels a bit like you're wearing a life vest, but how comfortable can a giant ice pack be?

First of all I thought I had tendonitis next carpal tunnel next shoulder impingement.. well, it turned out I was feeling pain shooting down my fingers (index/thumb/middle) on both sides. Then my toes. At that point thought it was RA. Sure enough it was all stemming from me going big and heavy on DL's and got sloppy. Yup. Screwed up my neck /trap and my lower back. If you have herniated disc that need rest and healing this is a great find. There are other neck and ice packs wraps, but did a little research and had a liking to what people had to say on other site reviews.. I just can't believe I'm the first one to review this here!Pros: covers scapula/ trap/ neck fairly well. The packet with ice is nice in that you can fold it in your freezer if you are low on space. They use real ice bags packaging.. which get really cold .. unlike those lame gel compresses. The design is easy to use and can be tightened decently.Cons: the neck wrap stabs into your jaw and face somewhat (or rubs) not that terrible, for if you are having neck problems this will hold it in place(considering you probably don't want to move around too much anyway). A little more compression would be nice .. possibly a chest velcro strap across the chest to fasten the ice to your middle-center and outer scapula tighter.All in all, I like this product. It fits perfectly and it's a nice design.My 2 cents: Are you a desk jockey? You may have some posture issues looking at monitor (neck crane) or a bad chair. I'm not sure if this will fix everything.. but if there is pressure on your neck/spine there's a good chance there's a lot of tension in your shoulder neck area - which screws up your hands wrist and shoulders kinda bad. This will reduce inflammation that is one thing for sure.. but, this is not an end all answer. You may want to look at other factors that may just be compounding the problem.. stay healthy = happy.

I was so excited when I found this product, especially since I’ve been searching for an ice pack designed for the neck THAT IS WEARABLE (without choking me!). The design seemed perfect for my needs. The problems: It does not stay very cold at all. And the ice is literally ice cubes- which isn’t the most comfortable bc they’re hard! I wish it were soft and gel-like….if it had cost $20, I’d be more forgiving. But $50 is a lot considering better products I own are far less expensive…I want to find a super-cold gel ice pack that fits the size of the neck portion (and the upper back), bc I do like the design that HOLDS the ice (since it’s wearable)… If you buy: be very careful when dealing with the fabric part bc the netting could easily rip. Also, definitely use the photos included when putting it on, bc it’s a bit confusing.

Light weight cooling, calming, nerve pain in my neck and shoulders

I have had a neck/whiplash injury for 5 months and I’ve been having a lot of difficulty sleeping due to neck pain when I lay down. I’ve tried so many ice packs and different pillow positions, but it’s been nearly impossible to find a way to rest my head but still have head support so my airway stays open.Finally this ice pack. It’s perfect. It provides so much relief for my neck, but even with the somewhat stiff neck support, I can lay down.It also cooled off really quickly in the freezer and stayed cold for a few hours.The compression is also really good because of the adjustable straps.

UPDATE: I added another star, because frankly I have no idea how I survived without it.This is the best solution I have found that covers both the neck and the shoulders which also had a mechanism for keeping it in place.It’s not super comfortable around the neck, but you’re probably in pain already so chances are this will be a step up. It’s like wearing a tall stiff color.It’s a vest and collar sewn to hold the kind of ice blisters you can buy at the store. It’s quite clever I thought, I was thinking of sewing something similar myself but I chose to spend a few more hours Browsing Amazon search results.Because it’s an actual ice pack, rather than gel (or god forbid that wheat filling), it’s both colder and lasts longer than other similar products.It seems vaguely expensive for what it is, but hey if you buy this one first rather than trying and finding all the other products wanting (I have so many cooling thingies) then it’ll be worth it.

I love that I can wear this and it’s stays in place. I also love that it covers my shoulder blades. As the other wraps I have tried only do the top of the shoulders. it also wraps nicely around my neck. It also stays in place nice. I wish that it was made of the soft gel and had a bit more flex. It seems more like ice cubes. That’s the only improvement I can set.
