Fantastic cleaner
I've had this for a few months now and I just love this thing! It gets all my jewelry sparkling clean and even though I haven't tried it yet, it has the ability to even clean DVD's and glasses. Although it didn't state it, mine included the DVD holder and a watch holder. The great thing about the watch holder is that you can still clean watches that are not water resistant due to the fact the watch face can sit above the water line. I'll probably be trying it on one of my new watches when it needs it. I also like the fact that it has several time settings to choose from, according to how dirty the item is. I would highly recommend the Rayn Ultrasonic Jewelry cleaner!Update Nov. 15, 2013: This is one of the best little investments I've ever made! I've cleaned all my old watches and they look like they have brand new bands. I clean most of my rings on a regular basis and a lot of bracelets and necklaces, too. I would suggest doing a little research on your stones before throwing them in any type of sonic cleaner. I'm no expert on gems, but I understand that all stones have different MOH ratings. If a gem is too soft or chemically enhanced then it's not a good idea to clean it this way. This cleaner always runs perfectly, and I love the fact that it has several settings for the level of dirty I'm trying to clean. I will usually take a soft toothbrush and give my rings a gentle scrubbing with the water and cleaner solution before putting them in my sonic cleaner, in order to loosen up any tough grime from oils and lotions. Every time I use it, I turn it on it's side to dump the water/cleaner solution and then quickly take a paper towel to dry off the edge that I imagine would be the tricky spot for any leaking liquid to get to the internal mechanisms.

Non -functioning after 10 uses
If this product quit after only 10 uses ( although I have had it for about 2 years) It is always stored in a clean dry environment. I use it infrequently because my jewelry is cleaned regularly at the jewelers. If it had continued to function I would give it a 5 star. It does work well when it works.

Pretty great
I recently purchased this device through Amazon and I have to say, it's quite amazing. From jewelry to old toys to vintage photography equipment (filters, metal parts, etc.), it's proven delicate but effective. I even tried it on an almost 2-year old electric shaver head. What was, um, disgusting... is now like new. Seriously.I've had good results with tap water and great results with a drop or two of Dawn liquid dish detergent added. I have some mild cleaning solution on the way but I don't think I'll need it very often.A lot of people must wonder is whether it's loud. It's really not. I measured approximately 75 decibels from 3 feet away from the device, no obstacles in between. At 10 feet it's 70 decibels. There's a buzzing sound similar to a kitchen timer or the timer on an old film camera. I can't really hear it from the next room. Not a problem at all.One last thing: read the directions. They're basic, but they do recommend allowing the unit to cool off for 10 minutes after 3 cycles. They also contain a few humorous illustrations.UPDATE: Aaaaaaannnnddd... dead after less than one month. Returned. I followed the directions to the T. If you only use water, the gasket around the stainless steel basket will probably work fine for you. Apparently cleaning solutions can get past it pretty easily. How hard is it to isolate a circuit? Guess I have no other option than to pay for a commercial/industrial grade machine.

Works great until it doesn't
Had the jewelry cleaner for 7 months until it died suddenly one afternoon. Cleaned my diamond rings fairly well although cleaning power was improved with the addition of a concentrated cleaning solvent. Unfortunately, the solvent reportedly can seep behind the gasket and damage the internal circuitry. Beware of this if you decide to purchase and use a cleaning solvent.

my jewelry sparkles again!
I recently purchased the Rayn ultrasonic jewelry cleaner after noticing how dirty many of my favorite jewelry pieces had become. I had a very cheap machine in the past that never worked well and in searching for a new one I came across the high ratings on this item. This product is super easy to use and works well. For some pieces that required heavy cleaning I just adjusted the cycle to the longer option. I also found that the fewer items you put in the basket, the better the cleaning. I also noticed on previous reviews that some people said to add a bit of dish detergent to the water. I tried this on one of my rings that was all clogged with lotion and it really worked well. Overall I'd say it was a good buy- not too expensive but definitely gets the job done.

Fantastic customer service!!!
I was thrilled when I first received my Rayn Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner. It worked GREAT! It's quiet ultrasonic cleaning action made my jewelry sparkle! I used it about 10 times and then it just quit. The lights went out and it wouldn't start. I did nothing to cause this malfunction. I can only guess that the internal components were not as high quality as I expected. I own much cheaper jewelry cleaners that continue to work even though I didn't expect them to last more than a year. I thought I would be able to use this unit more than three months before it died. I plan to contact the company for a replacement. I did like this unit while it worked.UPDATE: I contacted the company and they honored the warranty in minutes!! They sent a new unit and return postage for the broken one!! I will continue to purchase items from this superb company!! Thank you so much for the super fast and polite customer service!!
