DOES THE JOB!
This little thing really gets the job done. I'm using it in a small room that gets very hot (New York Summer, upstairs apartment, kinda hot!).The AC doesn't get to this room at all, it's kind of part of the outside hallway. It's a family member's guest room I'm staying in and ended up having to stay longer than anticipated. So the hotter it got, the more unbearable it became. Sleeping was impossible.I have it placed just at bed level, at the head of the bed, and have a fan across from it, at the foot of the bed and it keeps that little area cool. When the water runs out though, and it's just a fan, the temp raises quickly. So that's further confirmation of just how good it is. That said, the fan does a good job on it's own when it's not super hot. When I go to the bathroom and come back through the hallway and into the room, it's literally a sauna. SO HOT AND STICKY. I think this is inhumane. But then when I get back to area this unit is in, it's a whole different story. When it's really hot, ice-cold water makes a difference. So I freeze two bottles and keep one in a little cooler next to the bed to defrost slowly throughout the night, and one outside of the cooler to use the first half of the night. Between the two, it gets me through a hot night. I am waking up a lot, though, so yea, if I lived here permanently, I would obviously get an A/C. I'm giving you this extreme situation so you can gage its efficiency against your own needs. Hope it helps. If you're not sleeping in such a hot environment, this is an extreme step. I've found it to be a necessary solution for my situation. Otherwise, room temp gets it done, too.My only complaints are that because it's ALL black, including the filling compartment, you can't see when it's full, so I end up overfilling it unless I put my finger at the top so I can feel it. When I'm having to this in the every few hours in the while "sleeping" that is frustrating. If you overfill it, it will leak all over. I had puddles the first few days until I realized this. That's a design flaw. There looks to be a front compartment for adding water as well. But it really doens't give you any idnactoer at all so overfilling was inevaable. I just stopped using it altogeher. Perhaps I'm missing something. It didn't come with any instrucinos at all.All and all, it does what yo uwant it to do, and does it well.

Not worth the money.
I bought this product because the AC in my building/room doesn’t work. I actually bought 2 just in case 1 wasn’t enough. Even with these, and 2 other fans working, it does nothing to cool my room of. While It functions well as a humidifier and OK as a fan, the air that comes out is only negligibly below room temp.Even with chilled water AND Ice inside, there is almost no difference in the air temp coming out. What’s more, the water Reservoir only opens about three quarters of an inch, so good luck fitting normal ice cubes in it without having to force them in.Lastly, the cable to plug this in is relatively small, meaning it will need to be right next to the outlet to use. I’m disappointed in this product, and it surely was not worth the money, especially considering I bought 2 of them.

It okay
Not as good as i thought it would be. If you add ice to the water the air can be up to 10 degrees lower than the current temp. You have to sit within 3 ft.of it to really feel it. The fan doesnt push as much air either. For 50.00 you would think it would be more beneficial than an actual fan and I was not impressed.

Inconsistent quality??
Bought one of these things to help keep me cool through the summer. Smaller than I thought it would be but seemed to work just fine for what I needed.Decided to order another one so that I could have one for my desk and one for the bedroom. However after receiving and using the second one for about a week or two it has started leaking water like crazy. I decided that's fine and I would just use it as a (rather expensive) small fan without the water/cooling feature. Approximately one more week later and the thing wont even turn on at all. Should have just stuck with one I always have bad luck when ordering multiples of an amazon product unfortunately. Now I have only one fan for the price of two. Very disappointing.

Only suitable for small spaces. (On night stand or on an office desk.)
For the price, I wouldn't necessarily say it's worth it. It is only good for small spaces where the air only hits you. When putting ice in it, it does blast out cool air. But I wouldn't say this product cools down an entire room or more than one person at the same time.

Small and mighty
Pros:Great for 1 person or a small roomCan get very cold if filled with iceIf you like white noise this is a proCons:Can get loud. Just give it a tap on the vent and it’ll change lol!Ice drawer cannot detach for easy cleaning and filling

Is way too expensive for what it does
40.00$ for this is not worth it. I should of saved my money and gotten a better fan. My mistake. Is good for one person in one bed is not enough to make a small room cool maybe just like 2feet by 2 feet extremely small cool space.

Compact
Wish it was insulated on the bottom so the water would stay colder longer, fan is noisy but I can deal with it. Easy to use and light weight.
