Stomp, Dinosaur, Stomp! (On the Go) Kindle Edition

Brightly coloured images and the use of onomatopoeic language make these books a wonderful introduction to the world of dinosaurs. I bought this for my 2 year old after she asked for books with dinosaurs in, she's enjoyed making the sounds and pointing out the different dinosaurs. Admittedly the 'rhymes' can be hard to reiterate with a good beat as they tend to be abstract in places which, for a child who likes rhymes, can make them lose interest. That was the only reason I didn't give this book 5 stars.

Bought this after my 2 year old loved "dig,dig,diggers" for months and we fancied a bit of variety to read to him so bought a selection of books by the same author/illustrator. Stomp Dinosaur Stomp is now a firm favourite. The rhymes don't always flow quite as easily to read as they do in "dig dig diggers" but as my son wants us to read this book repeatedly we soon got the knack of them and both my husband and I enjoy reading it to him. I like that each page has a rhyme about a characteristic of a different dinosaur so you can discuss the differences with your child. The illustrations are colourful and engaging and the pages with all the dinosaurs on at the beginning and end are a great opportunity to discuss which one is your child's favourite and what they have learned about them. I am sure our baby daughter will also grow up loving this book. Overall I am delighted I bought it. It isn't quite as brilliant as "dig, dig, diggers" but comes pretty close.

Well despite Arni's review I went I bought it anyway given our 2 year old loves both stomping and dinosaurs. I've got no complaints, the names of the dinosaurs are spelt pho-net-ical-ly on both the front and back inside covers, so it isn't hard to learn any you're unfamiliar with. Sure I'll admit the storyline isn't up there with Chekhov but for a 2 year old (who likes stomping) it's more than adequate, and to my ear at least, it rhythmically flows as much as can be expected. Having loved the formula of 'Choo choo clickety clack' my dinosaur loving son is very happy with the formula, and can't wait to get going on 'Dig, Dig, Digging' too!!

Son really enjoying this book, as an introduction to dinosaurs. Very helpful pronunciation page for the dinosaur names. Lovely pictures and rhymes. Nice and colourful and not too cartoonish faces..

It's one about dinosaurs, my son loves dinosaurs, so 4 stars. It's not as well written as Dig dig diggers, but does have a good range of dinosaurs to refer back to. 2-3yr is probably a good age for this

This book is a family favorite of ours, with a wonderful cadence that is so much fun to read with any child who loves Dinosaurs. My son suffers from Apraxia and the sounds words in this book were very helpful with speech therapy. My son now can recite the entire book by heart!

Book was a little more used than expected, but since it is for my daycare, not a huge deal. The kids like it!

I checked this one out of the library when I realized how much my 3-year-old grandson loves dinosaurs (who knew?) He liked the book so much, I purchased it here on Amazon and gave it to him for his birthday.

The book was missing a page. I was not expecting it to be incomplete.

Love the pictures, and the action words for each dinosaur. My grandson identifies each dinosaur with the action. He has memorized each dinosaur.

My 4-year old grandson loves this book! His face lights up as he names the dinosaurs and points out little details in the illustrations.
